This Keepsake Ornament two-pack created especially for Comic-Con event sales features droids that first appeared in Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. The humanoid protocol droid U-3PO served aboard Princess Leia’s consular ship while the astromech droid R5-D4 was offered for sale by Jawa traders to moisture farmer Owen Lars on Tatooine.

BobaFett-HanSolo-ittybittys

Han Solo in Carbonite & Boba Fett become the latest in Hallmark’s itty bittys line with this exclusive Comic-Con two-pack of the armored bounty hunter and his prisoner as seen in Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back.

(Line drawing, actual product will be 4-inch plush.)

Available exclusively at Comic-Con International, July 9-12 in San Diego, Calif., and at New York Comic Con, Oct. 8-11, in New York City.

That U-3PO/R5-D4 set is pretty nice.

I remember when the Jorge Sacul figure came out so long ago. I quit being a completist way back then. Exclusives have poured cold water on so many cool star wars themes for me. I never got a Sacul even when I found them at affordable prices. I hate exclusives.

I really, really, really wish Hallmark would stop it with the SDCC-only exclusives. All that practice did was stop me and many, many others from being a “buy ’em all” completist. Maybe put them in SDCC-exclusive special packaging design, but at least give the rest of the Hallmark customers who are non-SDCC attendees the basic opportunity to buy the ornaments to put on the tree — maybe in a “retail” box of some kind.

The same goes for EVERY convention exclusive ever!
