New Clone Wars Droidfactory Astromechs Coming Soon?

clonewars_astromechsToday while exploring the seedy underbelly of the internet, I came across three as-of-yet to be announced astromech figures that look to be part of a Clone Wars themed Droidfactory set for Disney Parks (note the missing wires on the feet). It is unclear if these will be offered together or individually, or if there is possibly a fourth droid to join them. Click on through for a closer look at R5-S9, R5-P8 and R5-U8/R5-013.

Again, these aren’t Hasbro products.

Ooo… but R5-S9 is the wrong color. He should be more of a dark teal blue rather than a dark royal blue. And that’s not a blue band encircling the top of his dome, it is a silver band. I know, I’m nit picking.

  • Fercho

Need more weapons on top of R5-P8.

  • General Hux

    These aren’t Hasbro products?

Because you mentioned Hasbro…Does that mean I can complain Hasbro? 🙂

  • Fiery Little One

These would be interesting to get. Whenever they see release.

  • Rykrof_Enloe

    Another note – fun to see R5 units rather than just R2 units… I love R5 droids…

    • Bombadgungan

Now lets get a proper Prequel “squashed” R5 head sculpted. 🙂

      • Doog

Seconded! Although I refer to it as a pointy R5 head sculpt. The only bone that we’ve gotten thus far is the RC R5-X2 that came out about 8 years ago.

        • Bombadgungan

For some reason I was thinking the height of the Prequel head was a bit shorter than the OT version. That’s why I referred to it as squashed. Yes it is pointier. Do the sides of the Prequel R5 head also seem to slope in at a steeper angle?

          • Doog

I think you’re right. It does seem like the slope is at a steeper angle, which would lead to the squashed dome you’re talking about

  • Zarco Rey

    So are these Hasbro products?

    • Richard Grissom Jr.

At the beginning I believe they were. After Disney bought Lucasfilm they acquired the rights to use their molds. Now I believe it’s all Disney now.

  • Rivesjunctionite

And they’re NOT HASBRO products, lawyers!
(In case you didn’t read the fine print)

    • heybert17

To be fair. the “fine print” is the same size as the regular print.

      • Rivesjunctionite

Fine print is lawyer talk. They don’t understand regular English.

  • Indysolo007

    U9-C4 would be a great 4th

    • Bombadgungan

      Or M5-BZ.

  • Rykrof_Enloe

R5-P8 for the win! This one is a no-brainer…

    • Bombadgungan

My favorite of the group! We should have gotten this guy in animated style back during the TCW line.

  • shane

They are just making these droids up right ? I mean these are not in any movies ?

  • AdamATL

Oh goodie, more money Hasbro isn’t getting!!!

  • Indysolo007

I hope we get a member of D squad as the 4th

  • Jaken Wraith

I really don’t want to have to start up on a whole another Line of Fig’s, but these are getting hard to pass up.

  • Indysolo007

I really prefer this design over the one in the recent EE pack. They are better scaled.

  • At least this gives us hope of seeing new Original Trilogy astromech packs released in the (near) future…

  • Indysolo007

These are absolutely amazing! Can’t wait!

    • Rivesjunctionite

I hope they’ll be available during Celebration so I can buy them while I’m in Orlando.
