Just been to see it with my sister and her family. It was SW but it wasn’t sw. and it was brilliant. Loved the cameo of a certain two guys in Jedha. Was surprised at just how much Tarkin was in it, and loved that he was. Tarkins CG was good, Leia’s a lil off. All the new characters were great, shame that every single one bought it. Really likde Chirrut and Baze. Oh and the turbo tank as a prison transport was a nice nod, alone with the call for General Syndulla over the Yavin 4 base tannoy. And was that Twilek Cham Syndulla on Saw’s base? Vaders Palace on Mustafar and his action scence, wow! So much to talk about this movie. My niece loved K2-2SO as he made him laugh, my niece loved seeing Leia but wasn’t happy she was only at the end. My brother-in-law liked the end. That Hammerhead ship…

Big thumbs up from myself and everyone I went with, which ranged from 10 years old to 75 years old.
I don’t feel the need to rank SW movies so I won’t with this one either.
However, I do love the contrast of Rogue One, SW 4, 5, 6 and 7 with 1,2, and 3. The prequels may not be perfect, but they certainly show clearly how the galaxy was, as a whole, a decent, democratic and free existence, while R1 and 4-7 are dirty and repressed and a struggle thoughout life no matter where you are.

  • It’s a great movie, but I was not prepared for every single character to die.

I’m not one who usually comments, as I find most comments are usually nothing more then complaints, but I was very pleased with “Rouge One”, as I absolutely detest “The Force Awakens”. After that debacle I was scared the saga was over for me. I only have two complaints and both are really minor. First identifying each planet in words on screen. That was never done before and was really unnecessary, especially after dialogue stated we are going to planet “X” and then upon arrival the planet is named in typed.
My second complaint would be the appearance of R2 and 3P0. I felt they were both just shoehorned in and was nothing more then fan pandering.
Again those are both minor complaints and overall I felt “Rouge One” was a solid film all around.

Saw the cam version yesterday. The cam satified my curiosity so I don’t need to run to an over-priced theather.

      wow.
do you run a garden hose from your neighbor’s spigot for water, too LOL?

  • Sith Lord Jacen

It sucked when the lights were turned on I saw people sleeping it was so BORING,, wait for redbox don’t waste your money.

    • tigersith

This is one of the best Star Wars movies ever! Seriously dude, you are out of your mind!

      • Sith Lord Jacen

What are you smoking. It didn’t even feel like Star Wars. It was Complete garbage that added a few Original Trilogy characters to sell tickets. I never thought it could get any worse than the gungan menace. And Gran Moff and Leia looked “”real”” couldn’t tell that was cgi.. Darth Vader was to skinny and his voice was old and weak. Refund my $$$$$

        • Rykrof_Enloe

You’re definitely in the minority with your opinion.

        • Paulskywalker

It wasn’t supposed to be like the other SW movies on purpose, you fool.

      • GIBBS v2

Just a troll doing what a troll does. The movie was a real treat.

  • Bombadgungan

I’m hoping to go see it today or tomorrow. Can’t wait!

    • Bombadgungan

Man these tickets go fast! But I’ve got mine purchased with reserved seating tomorrow night. 🙂

      • CT-7567

Enjoy! I think you’re going to like it. 🙂

  • FireFox91

I need to see it again before I can rank it against the other movies. But I can say that is is really close to TFA and I loved TFA. Reading other reviews it’s funny to see how some of the things that people love are the same things other people hate. No matter how you cut it, this movie was comparable to last year’s. Meaning we had 2 consecutive years with great Star Wars movies. That is a far cry from TPM to AOTC. I think it has become clear that Lucas selling Lucasfilm was the best thing that could have happened for the fans

    • Rykrof_Enloe

Best thing in terms of movies so far… yes! As for toys… perhaps not.

    • General Hux

You can’t compare Rogue One with TFA, they’re two completely different movies and just because TFA came out last year doesn’t mean it should be compared to Rogue One.

It’s not fair for both movies.

  • Darth_Raww

I really missed the traditional Star Wars movie opening (music + scroll). Hopefully once the movie is released on home video, someone will make a proper version of the opening.

    • nate e.

Don’t hold your breath. Lucasfilm already stated that the opening scroll was for the main 9 saga movies…and would be redundant in the stand alones.

  • Doog

Being a Star Wars fan, I can’t really rate this against non-Star Wars movies, but I left this one much happier than TPM and AOTC. With a few hours of reflection, I’m giving this the nod over TFA also.

And I NEED to see it again

  • Joseph

The movie was excellent. Going to see it again so I can soak it in better

  • Fiery Little One

    Nothin’ but smiles. 😀

  • Rykrof_Enloe

I loved it too. There were a few things that I wasn’t crazy about, but I came out of this first showing much happier than I did with TPM, AOTC or TFA.

    • GIBBS v2

I loved it to, really captured everything I love about Star Wars. I enjoyed this much more than TFA.

    • CT-7567

I really liked it too. In fact we have the same ranking. For me, RO is about a tie with ROTS. The OT obviously ranks first. TFA after RO and ROTS with TPM and AOTC coming in last. I’ll have to see it a few more times to decide if I like it more than ROTS. Too many important things happen in Sith, and the second half of the film is perfect. RO is good from beginning to end, so it’s hard to say. It was definitely nice to walk out f the theater and not be disappointed. 🙂

  • Zachary Hering

    I loved the movie
