Hope here in the States has been almost as bad. If not for eBay, there would be no hope at all. (I use ebay as a last resort)

are these only at the parks ?

    • Pete

For the time being yes, but the folks from Disney did indicate that they will be expanding the parts availability to places like One Upon a Toy at Disney Springs.

It’s a shame they can’t sell them at their Disney Stores , which would allow many collectors to buy outside of the US.

        • Littlegreenwiseguy

Yes that is short sighted of them for sure.

The act of building the droid is part of the experience for these, so that’s why they have been relegated to build stations at various park locations. But I’ve never understood why they never released part sets similar to other item box sets that they do release, if for no other reason than to make it an item that can be purchased online – for example, instead of 21 different protocol droid heads, release only 20 and then have two different box sets, each with 10 unique heads and enough torso/arm/leg parts to build 5-6 droids at any given time.
