• Paulskywalker

I hope the all the TFA AND RO waves are repacked for us non-US fans. Walmart had the first repack wave in ASDA here in the UK and That was it and the Ackbar repack wave showed up in a SCI FI shop for silly money. Only have Jyn and Phasma thanks to a US fan giving me some spares when he helped me out with some exclusives. 🙂

  • LaurenceQuint

So does this mean the mainline “Last Jedi” release might still be in the dreaded 5POA?

Does this mean the Vintage line is going to be the main line after that?

    So many questions….

    • Mother_Talzin

TVC is likely going to be the same as TBS 3.75, but at other retailers. I expect a bunch of repacks and only a few new character from TLJ, along with a couple OT characters.

      • Gloriouscollector

Well if you remember The Black Series 2013-2014 toy lines, they did have a good portion of all new sculpted figures including that masterful Revenge of the Sith Darth Vader.

      • LaurenceQuint

So there will still be a 5POA mainline? Is that confirmed?

  • Gloriouscollector

    Beautiful…………just….Beautiful.

  • General Hux

Kudos indeed, Hasbro does care about collectors AND kids, they really knocked it out the part this year. Can’t wait for next Spring.

  • Like A Bossk

Now that we are getting sa figuers soon the next issue that people will have that suffer from cronic complaining will be the amount of repacks.

    • Bombadgungan

… and any imperfections in the paint apps and the low accessory count and the wrong style of joint used and the helmets that shouldn’t be removable and the price and the warning label on the card…

      • Firestick User

That non-removable warning/choking lable obstructing the brand is my biggest pet peeve. When it comes to the vintage line, I’d say have no warning and let the kids take their chances.

        • xdeathmedicx

dont you know? listening to the ones that pushed for us to get tvc back (which i am grateful) children dont care about tvc only adults……..

      • Like A Bossk

Sound like you know all the symptoms to spot these type of cronic complainers. You hit the bullseye.

      • Rykrof_Enloe

Not a fan of oversized clone helmets… those really ruined some otherwise awesome figures

        • General Hux

Hopefully that problem will be addressed if Hasbro releases anymore Clones.

      • BK

Being as I missed out on the original run, I’m fine with repacks for the first year.

  • Bombadgungan

Awesome! Amazing news! I can’t wait!

Except now I have a knot in my stomach knowing that the entitled man babies have gotten their way and will be forever gloating.

    • Will

What do you think will become the focus? Vintage collection, TBS6″?

    • xdeathmedicx

      glad we think alike

    • Roq

Like on some other site…. LOL

  • Mother_Talzin

They forgot to mention a critical detail – how much will they cost? A lot of collectors are already gone, will the pricepoint and character selection be something that could bring them back?

    • El_tito

Should be less than 10 right?

      • Like A Bossk

$10.00 sounds right for articulated 3.75 figures considering Walmart can afford to clearance the exclusive black series out for $5.00 and still turn a profit.

        • Bombadgungan

Who says they are turning a profit at $5? They likely went back to Hasbro and asked for funding to clearance out the mountain of overstock.

          • Like A Bossk

Because Walmart isn’t in the billions mark by taking any losses they will sale to a third party/outlet store before they take a direct hit in profit. Thats why you can got to Burks,Ross,Burlington,5 and below and other countless of stores and see items with exclusive at walmart or Target logos. They purchase these figuers for no more then 2.25 a figure but in huge bulk.

      • Bombadgungan

I strongly doubt they will be less than $10. I can’t imagine they would take a step back in their retails to 2010 prices. I don’t know that much has changed in materials and labor costs to warrant it. I would wager in the $13 – $16 range.

      • Mother_Talzin

I expect they’ll be $15, and I frankly don’t think there will be enough collectors willing to pay that.

    • Danny

      I wouldn’t mind paying $14 or less

  • Sith Lord Jacen

    ORIGINAL TRILOGY FIGURES ONLY

    • El_tito

They showed Rey at the end.

      • Sith Lord Jacen

I know what a letdown after all the awseomeness

    • xdeathmedicx

Why? OT is my fav but why are people so dead set that the other movies dont get any attention? Tgere are some amazing characters that need ti be made than a figure that has been redine 100 times or some stupid background alien thats seen for 10 seconds or less.

    • Rob Redahl

      No.
Star Wars is more than just the first three movies.

      • xdeathmedicx

Thanl you! I grew up on the OT and its my favorite. All these old disgruntled collectors cant get over the fact other movies exist. Seriously we are adults collecting childrens toys. I knew someone would complain after they brought back tvc. If you want only OT go collect vintage.

        • Bombadgungan

I am right there with you xdeathmedicx. The OT will always be my first love, but there is just so much greatness throughout the Star Wars Universe. It would be a shame to limit it to just one part and to one aging and dwindling group of fans.

P.S. Yes, I’ve already complained. See below. Sorry! 🙂

    • Danny

      lol

    • Bombadgungan

      LOL!
Here’s a great idea. Why don’t you buy just the OT characters, leave the others on the pegs and be happy. The Prequels, Sequels and Anthology movies are here to stay. Deal with it.

      • Sith Lord Jacen

here’s a great answer I only buy unpunched figures so I have to get a sealed case and if theres prequel, sequel,or any other crap in there that’s not OT I’m wasting my money,We don’t even have a Hammerhead figure on TVC card. but there showing us Rey. I don’t know about you but I want a complete set of Vintage figures

        • Bombadgungan

Sure, I’d love to have a full set of the original Kenner figures redone as TVC, but I also didn’t turn off my wonder and excitement for the franchise once the OT wound down. I’m also realistic in knowing that Disney/Lucasfilm Licensing/Hasbro is not going to cater to one small section of fans. The wonderful thing in this day and age is you have options. There all all sorts of collectible sites out there that cater to your needs and will sell you an individual unpunched OT figure and you never have to worry about that pesky PT/ST crap again. If all I wanted to collect was Prequel figures, I’d have the same problem of other “crap” being mixed in. It would be unrealistic of me to expect them to package only what *I* want. Of course I’d have no problem if they decided to go back to themed waves. I rather liked that. That way if you’re not into the ROTS you can ignore that wave and jump back in with the next ROTJ wave.

        • Rykrof_Enloe

If everyone was that niche this hobby would have been over 15 years ago.

        • xdeathmedicx

hammerhead? really bc thats such a pivotal character in the movies…… rey is a major character not just some 10 second background character. If you want a complete set of vintage figures why not collect those instead of complain about new movies and figures? OT figures have been done so many times, YES I would love a more accurate jedi luke with correct robe on tvc card, but we need the diversity in the line with new movie characters

      • Paulskywalker

Best response too many people not just in SW wanting it all their own way these days.

    • Rykrof_Enloe

Too niche, sorry. Though I do agree the line needs a healthy dose of OT.

  • Barney Dunn

wonder who will be wave 1, Rey (Force Awakens), Finn (Last Jedi), Finn (Last Jedi), Darth Maul (Rebels), K-2SO (Rogue One), Luke (Last Jedi)

    • Im afraid thats expecting too much. First wave Will be tons of repacks (mostly TFA and RO) with 1-2 new figures. Resistance outfit Rey is sure to be one of them, but we have already seen a straight repack of Jakku Rey on a vintage card.

      • Barney Dunn

They confirmed SA so maybe repacks of Walmart exclusives.

        • definitely.

          • Mateo Galvez

I hope these vintage collection “reissues” are not Walmart exclusives.

          • Danny

TVC figs will not be exclusives to walmart or anyone else

          • Mateo Galvez

            Thank the maker!

          • Bombadgungan

Oh man! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

      • Bombadgungan

Some easy retools to give us FN-2187 and unmasked Kylo Ren. 😉

      • Paulskywalker

That’s good news for non-US fans though as we didn’t get a chance at the TBS 3.75 TFA and RO figures. Walmart own ASDA here in the UK and they never got past the first repack wave and sci fi shops only got the Ackbar repack wave for a silly price. Only reason i have TBS 3.75 Jyn and Phasma was a US fan who helped me out with 6 inch exclusives gave me some spares he had. Which was nice of him.

  • Danny

I got goosebumps ! TVC FTW!

  • El_tito

    Got the chills.

  • PeakOB1

There’s something familiar about this place!
