The Last Jedi “Tango Neon Speeder” Revealed

The last unidentified vehicle that we revealed the other day has been discovered. The listing for “Tango Neon Speeder with Tango Neon Pilot” has hit Kmart in Arizona and is actually a Canto Bight Police Speeder with Canto Bight Police Officer. You can see an image of it on various social media outlets. Thanks to the crew at the Toy Run Facebook group for the heads up.

  • Long Snoot

The new Star Wars Show episode shows them in a movie shot, confirming that they are not a Hasbro Design.

  • General Hux

    Let’s recap shall we:
TFA is released: whiny man babies complain that the design everything is just “rehashed crap we’ve seen before”.

TLJ images leak: All new designs on ships and planets! Whiny man babies complain that it doesn’t look like Star Wars because it’s new!!

    So sick of this.

    • Long Snoot

Well it’s not like there’s any way to tell if the same people who complained about the TFA designs being rehashed are the one complaining about the TLJ ones being too original. I for once don’t see what’s “all new” with most of The Last Jedi designs either. The bomber is basically a mix between a Nebulon-B frigate and a B-Wing, Kylo’s TIE keeps the Interceptor’s wings (but at least it manages to look more original than the stupid repainted TIE-Fighters) and the A-Wing seems to be a new model with only minor modifications. About the police speeder, the biggest issue that I have with it is how the design doesn’t make any sense for a police speeder to me. The fact that it lacks other seats makes me assume that it’s a pursuit-only vehicle like the Republic and Imperial era Speeder Bikes, yet speeder backs would be a lot more useful to that purpose because of their compact design.

  • Paulskywalker

I don’t know how I feel about this vehicle, it’s interesting but I can’t make my mind up. Feels like a really stripped back TIE. Saw someone on Instagram say this makes the STAP look good. The STAP is one of my favourite prequel vehicles. Wonder if Cantonica is a First Order planet?

    • I hated the design at first but I think that was in large part due to the fact that it’s a $30 vehicle. The design is growing on me since it is a pretty big departure and from what we seen before in Star Wars. it almost has a separatist/clone wars feel to it while being fresh and unexpected at the same time. The force awakens was criticized so much for tweaking existing designs and so I like the bold strategy they’re taking with this one. i’m guessing the planet is more like Switzerland and not under direct control of the resistance or the first order. I think it’s intriguing, hopefully they have more screen time to just a few seconds.

      • CT-7567

I think you’re right. I was torn on the design, then I realized I kind of like it. I just don’t like the price of the toy. What do you think of the Police Officer? I like the design.

  • Josuethefanboy_7

You can’t trust the Kmart prices there usually like 2 to 3 dollars more, but all I know is that Kmart restocks on new merch quite early and fast.

    • The price is accurate. Target has them listed for the same price.

      • Josuethefanboy_7

I’ll have to check my kmart, I’m just curious to see if they have them.

  • SID

    yeah Tron is pretty cool.

  • Rykrof_Enloe

The figure appears as though it might have ball joint knees and elbows. If that’s the case then the price point stings a little less.

  • CT-7567

Wow. I thought I’d be waiting for clearance for all the vehicles, but the A-wing actually looks sizeable and worth the price. I like the look of the Canto Bight Police Officer. Not sure about the speeder.

  • CG

    I really hope that’s a Hasbro concept

    • Rivesjunctionite

That is one goofy looking design

  • Boba Fettuccini

Eh… It doesn’t look awful, but that looks like a deluxe figure, not ab$30 vehicle.

    • CT-7567

      Agreed. Definitely a $20 vehicle.

  • Darth Lindstrom

Search #cantobight on instagram and you’ll see it. The speeder is Ok but the officer seems very generic, nothing special.

    • Bill Nedrow

      Thank you.

  • Bill Nedrow

Can someone point those of us who eschew social media in the right direction? I’m having no luck finding anything.

  • SID

WOW yet another example of a HORRIBLE EP8 DESIGN. I don’t even know what the heck that is supposed to be. Those wings are pointless.

  • PorgAddict

What the Porgs!? Where are the pictures?

  • Sithless

Gotta say, not feeling the Canto Bight Police Speeder. Looks uninteresting for that price point. The A-Wing is a definite buy, though.

    • Josuethefanboy_7

The price point is really what’s the turn off.

      • Sithless

Agreed, It looks like a $20 deluxe figure, not a $30 vehicle.

    • CT-7567

It actually looks to be the same size as the older A-wings we used to get. I think $29.99 is actually pretty fair considering there’s a pack-in figure. So $22 for an A-wing similar in size and quality(still remain PS to be seen) to the older ones? Not bad. The Police Speeder should be $20.

      • Sithless

Yes, it seems that Hasbro is finally starting to listen to the people that want to spend $$ on Star Wars; more accurate scale, no Nerf, and bringing back VTC SA 3.75.

      • Rivesjunctionite

You’re kidding yourself if you think that’s any larger than the recent shrunken ships like Hera’s A-wing. It’s in the same assortment as that speeder. It’s tiny. Count on it.

        • CT-7567

Idk. I expected the same size as Hera’s but it looks bigger next to the figure – https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/c10373170cf5088fcfcc3996afddce78554367488a57b77ae89a2c62865baf1b.png

          • 80sRobot

This TLJ version does look much larger than the last release of the A-Wing (not the Rebels version):

          • CT-7567

Wow. You’re right. I was thinking it looked about the same size as the older A-wings. But the ship in your pic looks smaller next to the pilot. Too bad the three other vehicles are still overpriced. Kylo’s TIE looks tiny, but it’s definitely difficult to judge from pictures. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/c86cd54192028d20f62e33832acb52afa04b099d572994f4c957c1273364ba93.jpg

          • Rivesjunctionite

Interesting. I hadn’t seen the back of the box. That does look bigger. And no landing gear? They could certainly make it bigger without the nerf mechanics of Hera’s version.

          • CT-7567

I actually like the look of the TLJ vehicles, bit tgey are once again overpriced so I’ll be waiting for clearance. I might actually get the A-wing, though. It looks to be the size of the older ones we used to get. If that’s the case then $29.99 isn’t a bad price at all. Especially with a figure. Have you seen the Canto Bight Speeder? Idk if I like that one, but the cop is a cool looking design, imo.

          • Rivesjunctionite

Yes. The speeder is weird. Cop looks like AT-DP driver.

          • MyenShi

The Resistance A-Wing might have a front landing gear. You can sort of make out what might be a little bit of it in some of the box photos if you look closely. It probably rests on the rear winglets, though.

The Canto Blight Police Speeder is also a bit bigger than expected from the back of the box picture. So I think this A-Wing could be of a decent size. Certainly not as comically small as Hera’s.

It will, however, still feel cheaper in hand than A-Wings of the past. Which I can live with for decent sized vehicles without NERF launchers (thank the maker).

          • General Hux

            Told you

          • Rivesjunctionite

            Nyaaah
