    YESSSSSSSS!!!!

Awesome Rose figure, a definitely must-buy. Hopefully they will release a matching Finn-in-disguise figure (even better as a black series, since there is no announced SA Finn for TLJ.)

  • Jaken Wraith

They are showing at all my Walmart’s with 16 at each store. The 2-pack’s all under the same assortment number or something? I have not been to a Walmart in a couple Days, but last time i was i did not see this anywhere, but they had alot of Boba-Han, and Rey-Guard 2-pack’s. I never B-seeked the 2-pack’s before, not sure how it goes with those number’s.

    • Yes, brickseek will pool them all under the same assortment totals

  • mic windu

I was hoping the next time we saw Baze and Chirrut they would be SA

    • General Hux

Chirrut actually comes with a Bow rifle this time though.

  • An image of the TLJ set was shared with us via Twitter (@Marsola812) https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/2af76fbf2b511e6ac2d53167f604898be1ee0059c32e9d3b0a869c83035d7f95.jpg

    • Rivesjunctionite

      Fantastic! Sign me up.

    • Jimmy Griffin

Do we know if Baze and Chirrut will be straight repacks?

      • CT-7567

I was wondering the same thing.

      • Of course not considering they’ll have the Force Link feature

        • Jimmy Griffin

          Good point.

        • Matthew Leuck

Beyond that, and most-likely improved paint apps, any idea if there’s anything different about them?

          • General Hux

Chirrut has his BowRifle this time around.

        • CT-7567

I’m really curious about the upcoming Artoo. Do you think that figure will have anything different or specific to TLJ? I like to get new versions of main characters for a new film(especially the legacy characters), but I just have too many of that 3poa Artoo at this point. A few Porgs, better paint apos and his rocket boosters(rumors that he uses them in TLJ based on the Galactic Heroes toy) would go long way.

      • Max

Other than the Force Link gimmick, there’s little possibility that they will be brand-new figures (as long as they’re in the 5POA line). However, this time Chirrut might include his crossbow instead of an oversized weapon.

        • Jimmy Griffin

          That’s what I was thinking.

    • CT-7567

Nice. I love that FO BB unit. Thanks!

      • Jimmy Griffin

It’s like the evil BB8 from the mirror universe!

        • CT-7567

Yup. I like the dome. Kind of like an R5 unit dome on a BB droid. I’m probably going to pass on Baze and Chirrut. Unless they’re all-new sculpts. Are you going to get the Force Link device. I think it actually seems cool, but the only reason I’m getting it is for the Executioner Trooper and Praetorian Guard that come with it in the TRU exclusive.

          • Jimmy Griffin

Possibly on the force link; it seems like something we might see end up on clearance, so I will probably wait. Yeah, I’ve already got Baze and Chirrut, so I’ll only get this if they are somehow new.

          • Bombadgungan

I am wondering if Chirrut and Baze will pegwarm. I mean I thought their first releases were fantastic, but with their wide availability, do you think the addition of Force Link is enough to warrant a repurchase by most collectors or kids?

          • CT-7567

Probably not. Especially with the RO Baze two-pack at a lot of Five Below stores right now. If they gave Chirrut swivel wrists I’d definitely get it. You know about the second wave figures, rightl? There’s a Jyn Erso in there and I’m wondering the same thing about her. Plus Island Journey Rey might very well be Resistance Rey. I hope they give Artoo something interesting to justify purchasing him. He might be using his rockets in TLJ, so that would help. A few Porgs would be nice too. I already have too many of the 3poa Artoo, but with a new movie I like to get the legacy characters. I got Threepio, but I almost didn’t. He’s actually nicer than the TFA and MS versions, but with 5poa, for me, it’s harder to justify getting repacks than it is with SA figures. Like TVC. I know I’ll buy the TFA repacks because i want a complete numbered set and I only missed three figures from the first run if TVC. But with 5poa it’s totally different.

          • 80sRobot

My prediction about Force Link Jyn is that she could just be Jedha Jyn with better paint detailing on the face. The secondary accessory will be new — either her riot baton or an Imperial data drive. I bet riot baton because that could be one of the sound FX for the Force Link.

“This is a rebellion, isn’t it? I rebel!”

            *thwack–thwack!*

“May the Force be with us.”

          • The Jyn should be the “default costume” where she doesnt wear the green sweater. Did they ever make a basic 5 PoA Jyn like that?

          • Max

No. There wasn’t a “default” Jyn in the 5POA line (the one that was included with the AT-ACT was a partial repaint of Jedha Jyn), so it’s quite possible this new figure will be Scarif Jyn in her main costume and with the Death Star plans.

          • 80sRobot

The Jedha Jyn figure is what she wears on Scarif, without the cloak. But I too would like to see an entirely new sculpt, and her secondary accessory be the Imperial data drive — Hasbro has never released such an accessory which is really an oversight.

But I’m predicting the accessories will be a blaster and her riot baton, because the Force Link sound FX could be of the baton hitting Stormtroopers. There hasn’t been a 3.75″ Jyn with her baton, either.

          • CT-7567

Idk if you ever customize, but here’s a pic of a decal that can be printed out to make your own data drive. I haven’t tried making one yet because I have a crappy printer, but I thought it was worth saving the image in case I ever want to use it. You just need to find a plastic accessory that resembles the data drive to stick it on. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/99977b6aa32048b463a1a922c25965f998c536eda3d45b3bbb98be87b768c9d9.jpg

          • LaurenceQuint

            Yes.

            And no.

          • Brian Beck

Better yet, she revels the original third act of the movie ( i.e. the first trailer )

          • CT-7567

I already have two 5poa Jedha Jyn figures plus the SA TBS one. I’d rather see a better sculpt of the Eadu outfit. Or maybe the Imperial disguise that a lot of people never found.

          • Brian Beck

Well they never found her, cause she is in disguise 😉

True story though-I only found her in the wild once, at a mart out side of my area, and scanned right past her several times as it did blend right in with the other Jyns and imperial ground crews sitting there.
            very easy to miss-

          • CT-7567

Cool. Did you get the rest of that wave?

          • Brian Beck

Yeah, via 2 different ‘etailors’ ( EE and K&C if I remember right-they both offered half case )
I went back the following week and found a single Thrawn! so I lucked out as I got both versions on the card, and a ‘correct’ one to open/display 🙂

          • CT-7567

Nice. 🙂 I never found the correct ranking badge version.

          • General Hux

            Never found that figure.

      • Alientek

Rian Johnson jokingly said that BB-9E almost ended up with the name
        BB-H8

    • Jaken Wraith

I do really like that 9E, really hoping they pack a 6in one in with a new General Hux. For Hux being a smaller size Fig, he seem’s the most logical canidate to come with one. Unless later down the line we get an “un-masked” Phasma and a 9E could come with her. But with her being so big and with a Cape, seem’s like alot of Plastic in one Box. And maybe Story wise, “DJ” may interact with a 9E, and he could be a pank-in Canidate.

    • JACKOFTRADZE

Smart, she wont pegwarm as bad as her other releases since this one includes two droids.

      • LaurenceQuint

Rose isn’t pegwarming in my neighborhood. She’s completely sold out of every store I’ve been in the past few days.

The only figures left (at the moment) are Hux, Threepio and the rare Poe or Finn.

      • Then again, for the last two years my walmart has not been able to get rid of that Unkar Plut’s thugs pack with a big gash in the window blister and a missing BB8.

        • CT-7567

I actually like that set. Unfortunately the BB-8 is usually the “ping pong” ball version as opposed to the superior”golf ball” one that comes with the Falcon or in the Maz set.

          • I never really got what the difference was between those are the other two you mentioned really that much better?

          • CT-7567

Oh, definitely. The one in the three-pack is hollow like a ping pong ball. The other one that was included in the Maz set is heavy like a golf ball. It seems the best version is the one included with the Falcon because it’s the heavier version and has weathering. Do you have either version of BB-8?

    • CT-7567

I wish we were getting some of these more interesting figures in the basic line. I like the first wave, but too many of the figures are just too familiar. The TRU Executioner Trooper and Praetorian Guard, this Rose and BB-9E would’ve been better in the basic line, imo.

  • Jaken Wraith

A 6in BB-9E would be sweet, and having it with General Hux would be fitting. If they can pack Rey with BB-8 they could do a Hux with BB-9E.

    • SH Figuarts already made them, all four BB units

    • CT-7567

      Looks like the 5poa figures weren’t $9.99. 😛

  • Darth Your Mom

    My knee-jerk reaction: meh.

  • Rivesjunctionite

Is there any reason at this point to continue the seal codenames? It’s silly.

    • Pete

Agreed – especially when it comes to characters whose role in the Star Wars universe has been seen/known for almost a year now. It’s not like Baze and Chirrut are going to miraculously show up in EP8. If anything, these will be straight-up re-releases of the Rogue One figures with the Forcelink microchip embedded in their torsos.

      • 80sRobot

You don’t think they will be new sculpts of Baze and Chirrut? (I don’t know myself, I wonder if they will just be reissues with Force Link chips.)

        • Pete

No – I think what Hasbro produced for the Rogue One line was great and the only way they could improve on either would be to offer them up some better articulation (doesn’t have to be super-articulation) – just enough so that they can hold their weapons in a manner that reflects how the characters held their weapons in the movie would be great.

But I see this is Hasbro’s way of giving us a Chirrut that can actually chant “I am one with the Force and the Force is with me” more than it is to release an improved sculpt of the character.

          • 80sRobot

Yeah I think the Baze and Chirrut sculpts themselves are already good. There’s going to be a Force Link’ed Jyn, and I wonder if that will be a new sculpt since the likeness of Felicity Jones isn’t so good if it’s the Jedha Jyn style they will issue. Or, maybe it’s a reissue of the Imperial Ground Crew disguise of her that never saw wide distribution.

          • Brian Beck

The one they packed with the AT-ACT is way better (on Right) then the regular release.

          • 80sRobot

You know, it looks to me like the sculpts for all these Jyn heads are the same — the Black Series version I think is the same as the Jedha Jyn. (I own both.) The main difference is the paint detailing for the eyes. The BS one gets it closest, but there could still be improvement.

          • AllThePowa

I think any articulation that isn’t super articulation is aweful. It doesn’t leave any possible action poses. Anyone remember the scene where jyn erson stood two legs side by side, arms side by side, with a big blaster in one hand going pew pew?

          • Matthew Leuck

Baze’s legs were in kind of a weird position, so he could potentially stand with that massive missile-launching backpack. Fixing that would be a plus.
