Anyone else think the back half of the last season that is being kept so secret will have something to do with The Last Jedi?

    • Trooper31

My hope is that the last half of the season has to do with the deaths of Kanan and Ezra. So, yeah, the Last (of the) Jedi in that the only Jedi left will be Obi-Wan, Yoda, and then Luke.

Filoni needs to grow a pair and allow some characters to die.

Great news! Can’t await to see the new episodes!!! But the thing that saddens me more than the series endings, is knowing already now that whatever great characters might show up, we won’t get a figure anytime soon

    • Brian Beck

But not never, per Hasbos interviews from hascon.

  • Jimmy Griffin

    I’m ready.

Scheduling aside…I just hope this series ends with a strong, definite finale for some characters. They should be bold with what they do here. We’ve seen Rogue One so we already know there is a connection to that period/events, but give us some hard hitting character development, which means definite future path or death or whatever. No more vague…

With this air time and doubling episodes, it’s very obvious this show was cancelled prematurely.

    • Alexis Lasek

It was! Disney has this weird policy of not letting “kid” shows go past 4 seasons (Nick is the same but they broke that rule for TMNT but not their hit Thundermans which ends at the end of its 4th) Its stupid but what can we do? I watch a lot of Disney and this is how I know. Oddly only Disney Channel and Disney XD seem to follow this as Disney jr will go past the 4 season rule occasionally.

Didn’t know there was a pattern. Thanks for the info.

I hope this is to help clear space for the next animation project that Dave Filoni mentioned awhile back. Perhaps a season or two of THE CLONE WARS: LOST MISSIONS for closure’s sake? (and ours)

  • Stereotypical Evil Archer

I like this 2 episode pattern. 22 minutes a week is often too small for Star Wars.

  • Fiery Little One

Double billing like this seems … odd. The first episode(s), sure, but most of the first half of the season?

    • Brian Beck

yeah, I’m not into them giving way to “binge watching” nonsense. I’d prefer 8 weeks of 30, then 4 of an hour. Its already a cut down season, no need to hurry it up.

      • Fiery Little One

        That’s why I don’t get this.

      • Stereotypical Evil Archer

Then just watch at your own pace, 1 episode per week, if you have XD, you can use their app or website or on demand.

        • Brian Beck

Its the principle of the matter 🙂 🙂 I DVR them anyways, but there is no way I could not get spoilers by doing it that way ( I watch several SW YouTube channels )

    • Alexis Lasek

I think its because they are trying to get through all of the eps quickly maybe so they can release one of the rumored toons in development. Maybe because the finale leads into them, who knows? However this is not unusual of Disney once a show is cancelled. Another thing to note don’t expect ANY Star Wars toon to go past 4 seasons as no Disney Channel or Disney XD show has passed 4 seasons in a long time, its some stupid reasoning Disney has (Nick is similar and was shocked that TMNT got a fifth season!)

      • Fiery Little One

        Duly noted.
