StarWars.com has posted that Disney XD has officially ordered a second season of the eagerly anticipated series Star Wars Rebels. This should serve as no surprise for fans that have seen the first installment.

StarWars.com has updated today with word that the Star Wars Rebels movie Spark of Rebellion will now be available to watch 3 days earlier than the original Septemeber 29th date. Subscribers will now be able to watch the introductory TV movie on this Friday, September 26.

Stephen Stanton (The Clone Wars) tweeted an image last night showing some signage at Walmart and you’ll notice that the release date for Star Wars Rebels: Spark of Rebellion is listed for October 3 – the same day the special airs on the Disney Channel. This contradicts the October 14 release date stated back in August. Signage could be wrong, or Walmart has an exclusive distribution deal with Disney/Lucasfilm.
In “Not What You Think,” a special Star Wars Rebels short, Ezra finds a downed TIE fighter on the plains of Lothal. The young rebel opens the ship’s hatch — pretending to help the ungrateful Imperial pilot — and leaves with a few souvenirs.
