Sideshow Collectibles has posted via Twitter/Facebook/Instagram a curious image that is simply captioned as:
“Who (or what) do these packs belong to? #StarWars #Hoth #EmpireStrikesBack”.
By the looks of it, we can expect a Tauntaun (of some scale) in the not-too-distant future and with that can a Hoth Luke or Han be far behind?
Gentle Giant has updated today and is now taking pre-order for their Jumbo Kenner IG-88.
PROS: Continuing in their tradition of releasing superior product and supplemental accessories, Sideshow outfits their soon-to-be-released Snowtrooper with this signature piece of artillery. The E-Web Heavy Repeating Blaster features a pivoting/rotating cannon, articulated tripod legs, flexible power cord and generator. The entire piece has a weathered gunmetal wash and looks absolutely fantastic in this scale.
CONS: None other than not having the 1:6 scale Snowtrooper in-hand at the time of the E-Web’s release.
Head to the toyguide for the full image gallery and to judge for yourself whether this piece is worth adding to your collection.

It’s time for the latest contest from Collector-ActionFigures.com, and we couldn’t be more excited about this one. In the latest contest from Collector-ActionFigures.com, we decided to give G.I. Joe collectors some love by giving away a figure based on one of the most beloved and iconic character in all of action figure history. One lucky winner will be taking home an incredible Sideshow Collectibles Snake Eyes and Timber sixth scale figure courtesy of DASH. This exclusive figure is limited to 1000 copies, is valued at $200, includes a bundle of extras including a fully-articulated Timber figure, and it could be yours. Click on through for all the details!
PROS: Sideshow’s designers have captured one most iconic vehicles in the prequels to an exacting detail. The STAP itself features adjustable turret/yoke, handlebars and foot pegs to allow the included Battle Droid to achieve various in-flight poses. The sturdy display base also features an adjustable center section to allow you to tilt the STAP and Battle Droid for additional dynamic poses. The included battle droid is a redeco of their first release and molded in a slightly different color. He features plethora of articulation and is, in essence, a mini-maquette of the Battle Droid CGI model. On my particular sample, the included backpack attaches the to the droid much better as the first Infantry Battle Droids’ packs tended to fall off rather easily. The droid affixes to the STAP by way of magnets built into the feet and foot controls – an ingenious idea – and the multi-joint hands allow him to grasp the controls firmly.
CONS: Cost and displaying a piece of this size may be an issue for some and sadly the included blaster rifle still does not attach to the droids backpack.
Head to the toyguide for the full image gallery and to judge for yourself whether this piece worth adding to your collection.
