From the Workbench: Imperial AT-DT Repaint

As I mentioned yesterday, I thought that the new Imperial AT-DT was underwhelming in the deco department. So I thought I’d make my first attempt at repainting a vehicle. Custom 6″ Yak Face from Star Wars: A Custom 1:12 Galaxy

A new customizing community has launched via a private Facebook group. Star Wars: A Custom 1:12 Galaxy is a community of like-minded customizers as well as an educational resource for 1:12 Star Wars custom figures and dioramas. Their customizer’s archive is a variable “cookbook” chock-full of figure recipes, diorama blueprints, tutorial guides and a databank of materials that will allow you to search out and find the unique custom cast parts you need to complete any project. 

To help promote this endeavor, we are proud to debut their recipe and tutorial for an amazing 6″ Yak Face/Saelt Marae figure. Click on through for the detailed images and info.

Custom 3D Printed 3.75″ Scale Rathtar

Industrial designer Brad Harris has designed and printed this fully articulated Rathtar (via 3D printing) for the 3.75″ scale complete with Black Series style packaging. Jimmy Kimmel Previews 6″ Black Series Princess Leia (Sort of)

Last night, Jimmy Kimmel had a special “Force Awakens” themed show featuring the stars of the film and director J.J. Abrams. Check out the custom 6″ Black Series version of Abrams as Han Solo and Jimmy as Princess Leia which incidentally provides a pretty clear look the upcoming 6″ figure – the body and soft goods anyway.
