The Realm Recap is back again this week picking up where we left off with NYCC news as we touch on a few developments released through QnAs from various sites in attendance. Hot Toys surprises this week with the tease of a new 12” Stormtrooper – which may be more than meet the eye (oops, wrong franchise). 2015 LEGO set images were revealed/leaked this week, again running the gamut of source material and they all impress. Lots of Star Wars Rebels news this week with new (and free) shows, the return of James Earl Jones and Kanan getting an original story in 2015. This and much more in Episode 35 of The Realm Recap!
Also, if you prefer an audio-only version, a downloadable MP3 is available as well.’

Images have been hitting the various social media feeds out there but this one in particular is quite interesting. Hot Toys’ Secret Base has on display a couple of licensor-pending sixth scale Stormtroopers but note the different heights? Could we in fact be getting a Han and Luke in Stormtrooper Disguise as well?
According to this image courtesy of Hot Toys, it appears that the upcoming Black Series Yoda (#06) doesn’t feature articulation in the knees. Hot Toys lists the figures as having 22 points of articulation (and you thought we were crazy for breaking down the joints like that) while a figure like the 6″ Clone Trooper has 29 POA.
Click the image above for a closer look at that the pose in the bottom left corner. Disappointing this is.
The Realm Recap returns after an extended weekend with our take on the latest news in Star Wars collecting. This week, we discuss new images for the upcoming waves of 6” Black Series and 3.75” Rebels Saga Legends figures and vehicles, Hot Toys official launch of their sixth scale Han Solo and Chewbacca; plus announcements from Kotobukiya, Hallmark and more. We also discuss the debut of the Star Wars Rebels movie – does it have the “spark” to ignite a new generation of fans/collectors or will they “rebel”. Finally, we touch on recent Episode VII rumors and leaks including our first look(?) at a new Stormtrooper from the sequel trilogy. Click on through to check out the latest episode and feel free to subscribe to our channel and leave suggestions on what you’d like to see covered on the show.
Also, if you prefer an audio-only version, a downloadable MP3 is available as well.

The Yakface Toyguide updates resume today with a unique entry into 2013 “Darth Vader” Collection line of products. Collectors in Japan, courtesy of the Hot Toys/Hasbro partnership, are able to purchase an assortment of blind box “mystery” figures which pull characters from the first waves of Saga Legends and Mission Series sets.
At first look, you may think there is nothing really “new” here but, unlike their carded counterparts in most areas of the world, each of these figures also include a display base/stand similar to what came with the figures in the Saga Collection. The case itself is able to be converted into a shelf display and includes one of each figure.
Head to the toyguide for the full image gallery and to judge for yourself if these are something worth adding to your collection.
Looking to add a bit more excitement and realism to your sixth scale figure display? Sideshow now has Hot Toys’ Dynamic Figure Stands available for pre-order that allow you to showcase your collection in jumping, mid-air and flying poses thanks to a flexible pillar.
Hot Toys.jp has announced today that they have entered a partnership with Hasbro, Inc. to distribute their (Hasbro) products in Japan.
