As I mentioned yesterday, I thought that the new Imperial AT-DT was underwhelming in the deco department. So I thought I’d make my first attempt at repainting a vehicle. If you follow us on Twitter and/or Instagram, you were able to follow the progress of this project over the course of a few hours. Rumors are swirling that Lucasfilm has back-burnered plans for future standalone films and is focusing on Episode IX and Rian Johnson’s trilogy. This comes after the disappointing box office of Solo: A Star Wars Story last month. Collider has the exclusive report.
No official statement has been issued.
Update: Lucasfilm has issued a statement via ABCNews that multiple films are still in the pipeline and stating that reports of standalone films being put on hold are “inaccurate”.

Mudtroopers, like sandtroopers, get everywhere. Hot Toys has theirs, LEGO and Funko have theirs, too and soon Hasbro will be releasing a couple in the Force Link line. But what about the 6″ Black Series? Rumor has it that there are a few more characters from Solo: A Star Wars Story coming to the front lines, one of which is a much needed mudtrooper. Details are murky, and smell like wet Wookiee, but you can probably bet on an early 2019 release from captivity.
Based on some intel and cross-referencing of our recently acquired UPCs from Brickseek, it looks like Target may get yet another exclusive 6″ Black Series figure. Based on the above UPC/DPCI and its code name of “Chronos”, we surmise that it is White Worm member, Moloch. With the figure’s large size, it also slots into a larger price point of $29.99.
Chalk this up as an unconfirmed rumor for now until officially confirmed by Hasbro or when it shows up online, which ever comes first. Info has been added to our Master List as well.
Thanks to BP with the assist on this smuggled information.
Back in February a leaked image was floating about showing a 3.75″ scale TIE FIGHTER heading to the Force Link 2 line from Hasbro. Surprisingly, it didn’t drop with the release of the first wave of Solo merchandise, but we can now report, thanks to Brickseek, it is coming soon. Slotted in as the first “Class C” vehicle for this line look, the price is expected to be $39.99. Due to the angle of the leaked image, it is unclear if this is the standard TIE or the cool TIE BRUTE that we briefly saw during the pursuit in the maelstrom, but I’d expect the standard TIE configuration based on products already released by Mattel and LEGO. The UPC, DPCI and Walmart SKU have been added to our Master List. Expect to see the first images of this at SDCC (if not sooner).
