In reply to TheaterG33k. I don't work for Hasbro. Just have an optimistic view as a very long-time collector, and the sculpts are really good in my opinion. For reasons I don't understand, these sets are making others seemingly rather angry. Like I said elsewhere in the forums, we already have super-articulated versions of all of these characters. Getting the ultimate EP IV version of Vader this year. Ball-jointed hips on a Boba Fett are likely not far behind. So, not sure what there really is to complain about. Like with all things, some will like and others won't...

Wow, thanks to Hasbro marketing people for generously providing the comments above. These sets are an embarrassment, a cheap-out, a slap to the face. They are utter crap. They are not a tribute to Vintage, they are an insult to collectors and even non-collectors. They look like cheap vinyl happy meal toys, not action figures.

Both sets look great to me now with these high-rez imgs. I can see what Hasbro meant by the great sculpts. The EP 1 figures like near-perfect frame captures from the final battle in the film. — Vader is going to look great on the shelf too. The Fett just needs a (smaller) cape to soften the lines of the bulky armor. We’ll see if that happens. Regardless both set of figures will come live at my house.

Looks great to me. I don’t need 16 points of articulation. Though I’m sure we’ll pay for it like they do!

WOW! A big thank you to Hasbro for these beautiful figures! I really like the vintage feel of these sets, including the limited articulation. I also prefer the molded capes instead of soft goods, as they are more durable and more aesthetically pleasing to me…As a hard-core collector of Star Wars figures for over thirty years, I am happy to see the continued longevity of the line.

I’m very excited to see these battle packs in Vintage Style Packaging. These figures are a tribute for that fantastic and unique Vintage Look. Anyway, these battle pack will be controvertial but all will love them at the end of the day.
