The best way to see this vehicle made is if emough people are willingto do a presell order. Mattle is doing such a thing with Castle Greyskull. If enough people do not preorder nothing gets made. This concept would work great here and allow the hard to get vehicles get made. So who willing to put their money where there mouth is. I’m in

If this were even remotely close to scale at say 6 ft long, 3 feet high I’d be shocked to see it for less than $400. Here’s hoping if it does get made it doesn’t turn out like the last sandcrawler debacle that was just hideous on all fronts.

I just truly hope that 2013 sees a change. I think maybe with the B.A.D. stuff, they’ll stop carrying forward the same figures in each wave, essentially forcing them to do a better job with case ratios (I think their failure to do that is largely responsible for the distribution problem).

Its very frustrating home boy. Something has to change.I called them up and they are gonna get on it. First time they heard a distribution problem.I just laugh and drive to the next store. Only to find the usual phantom menace wave molding on the pegs.hopefully the sail barge will fit in my bath tub

…and I personally feel the ultimate cause for the retailers turning orders down is due to their lack of faith that the figures will sell. Hasbro has made some serious miscalculations, really ever since they broke things out into three lines… things seem to have been run a lot better before Clone Wars became a factor. Not that I blame Clone Wars, but Hasbro doesn’t seem to be able to balance the lines.

@ jim – You’re turning this into an outlet to bash Hasbro on all fronts… frustration toward them is totally understandable, but this is about a desire to see the Sail Barge made. $100 for the big items seems about right to me too – and most of them so far, have been that price. The Falcon and MTT being the exceptions (remember though, Hasbro doesn’t get $100 for each vehicle, they probably don’t even get half that). And Paul runs a very respectable fan site, so he has a grasp I believe that there are a lot of collectors out there with enormous collections who are outright pissed off at Hasbro. As for general ranting, you’re welcome to vent in the forums all you want, that’s what they are for; to discuss the state of the hobby.

@ Wild Horse Fantasy – All the “big one” items have been easy to get. Marketing one big item a year like this is apparently a lot easier for Hasbro. Their problem is over-producing initial waves of basic figures and mid-size vehicles, and carrying too many figures forward. It causes logjams at retail, hence the retailers don’t trust Hasbro and limit orders for later waves.
