I’ve been waiting for a 6″ scale line for a long time now, since I’ve been collecting McFarlane & NECA movie figures. But this line won’t work if they don’t focus on the iconic version of the most popular characters. The initial wave should’ve included Vader, Stormtrooper, and farmboy Luke, and maybe an R2 & C-3PO 2-pack. Follow up wave should be Han, Chewie, Ben Kenobi and Leia.

Could care less about 6″ figs (especially for $20). We are going to be seeing the 6″ X-Wing Luke at Toys R Us for the next 10 years collecting dust. Maybe they can put them in the aisle with the 6″ Prince of Persia figures, or the 6″ Pirates of the Caribbean figures.

In reply to YAK_Jayson. I really hope we don't have the mismatched joint issue in the new 6" line, that was one of the only issues I had with the vintage collection. For that matter, I hope they can fix it in the 3.75" line too.

In reply to darthmadonna. It is possible. Gentle giant produces the Marvel Select line that is distributed by Diamond Select Toys, so it's not out of the realm of possibility.

In reply to darthmadonna. This line will not be canceled. There are 6 inch collectors who are not even Star Wars fans who will be buying these. By making a Sandtrooper, the tooling will be there for the Stormtrooper you want. I am quite confident you'll be getting it in the next year. I'm just saying give this a chance before you get so upset. Look at what Marvel Legends did for 6 inch figures. This is the line many, many Star Wars fans have been waiting for.

In reply to Brian. I am just perplexed of Hasbro's said need for Iconic main characters. Granted there are still four more to be revealed for the year. The thing with this line and it's higher price point does not leave a lot of room for the wonderful breadth of choice we have had in the smaller scale. If say I want a stormtrooper how long will I have to wait and will it become available before Hasbro has to cancel the line? Anyways I am not against anyone if they want a Sandtrooper or a Tonika Sister, cool! Happy for you but that is the beauty of the internet and opinions being made known including yours and your opinion of me as a bitching moaning baby :)

At least the figure looks really good… but another funny thing… they make this awesome looking Luke like this, yet the one in the 3.75″ looks really weak… they keep using the 2006 sculpt, which is not good by today’s standards. Hopefully this means we will see a better 3.75″ X-Wing Luke… but I’m not holding my breath.
