I agree, "stark" is definitely the word for these. They just look unfinished without any other art on the front or any other insert. I also expected the cards to be much smaller relative to the size of the figure. The figures' heads should be bumping up along the "black series" line of text. That would help the whole thing work better as a minimalist carded line.

Really Hasbro?? Your still going to mismatch articulation points with the surrounding skin/clothing?

How hard would it be to just mold a separate skin tone colored joint for Padmé's right elbow. As long as the color is merely somewhere in the ballpark, you would have been good. But white on a joint that will never be hidden like say on a figure's knees is just so extremely ridiculous.

You've been doing this for more than 7 years and we keep complaining and it just keeps getting worse and more ridiculous.

I'm not sure why the cards are so tall, seems like it would take up space and end with more than a few bent cards.

Oh - and other than the Padme, I'll probably pass on those first four figures. I've got way too many Vaders, Rebel Pilots - and I'm not sure the Luke is worth $10 considering he's basically just a new head sculpt (not much new on the other figures either). Not much to get excited out of the gate by Hasbro. They rarely put the effort in these days, but expect a big return. Is it any wonder their lines are crashing and burning?

I don't see why the cards are so tall. I'm an opener, but unless these are a thick card stock, I think you'll see quite a few more bent cards on the pegs, which will frustrate a lot of people. Other than that, I kind of like the simplistic design.
