I really love the 6″ figures, and I think they’ve been great so far; it’s just that (although I may end up regretting it later) I’m not committing to the line because over here they’re getting crazy expensive. If they were a fair price I would buy, simple as.

As for the management of the line, I’m sure it’s been debated to death but the wave choices and case assortments have been extremely questionable, and distribution hasn’t been the best. I definitely don’t have hate for this line, and I’d love to collect it properly but it’s just not feasible.

Ok, couple of things.
1. There is no way I’m paying $40 for a figure. Sorry, but I’m out on this. I’ve seen pics of the Batman that they made and while good, not $40 good.
2. Why the hate for the 6″ers? I mean they are made in conjunction with Gentle Giant and so far, excluding the J Lo butt on Leia, they have done a really good job IMO. The first few waves of every run are always a bit shaky but come on, look at Fett, or actually my fav Greedo. Alright, the eyes are a bit wonky, but other than that great! Personally I don’t think this will kill The Black Series, I do agree that they should not focus on primary characters though. Leave that to Hasbro. Whatever happens, it looks like it’s going to get interesting for us.

The kicker here is that they produce, like, one figure every once in a while. If collectors are looking to get multiple characters in a timely fashion… these aren’t really the guys to go with.

If the wait doesn’t bother you, though, then this will probably be the best news to come out of Wonder Fest 2014.

$40 is what the Black Series will cost after the price hike here in the UK anyway (£25), so if Medicom are making better figures then more power to them. The line can’t be handled any worse than TBS has been so far anyway (and I try to keep optimistic about collecting, generally)…

In reply to Thirdfloor. My experience with Figuarts is that the quality is consistently high (i.e., less of a gamble getting them online). So I think it should be relatively safe.

In reply to Biffard P. Misqueegan. Their smartest move would be to make the characters that Hasbro is not so that collectors would feel inclined to purchase both lines to fill out there collections. They could beat Hasbro to the punch on many of the desirable characters.
