I’ve bought many things from Marshall’s and TJ Maxx on clearance, which is a lower price than when it first showed up for sale there
just peel off the red sticker and compare the prices
the red sticker is always a lower price than the white sticker

maybe your locations work differently, but the stores where I shop occasionally clearance out products at reduced prices

Unnecessary warning. Marshall’s and TJ Maxx are liquidators, they ONLY sell at markdown. The first price you see there on anything is the lowest they go, no matter how long it sits. These might also surface at Big Lots at a similar price.
