See, I thought Jar Jar made Star Trek look pretty, but completely destroyed every character by turning them into the space 90210 stereotype versions of themselves. It’s like he took all the parody versions of the Star Trek characters from over the years and used those parodies to create these characters.

Anything he is put in charge of ends up looking nice, but is a completely soulless parody of better things.

And if you really want to compare his movies with Insurrection and Nemesis, just consider that he was given three times the budget of those to make his, and had the benefit of 15 more years of CGI quality improvement. The actual stories in Jar Jar’s movies were simple rehashes of previous Trek movies, including a heavy retelling of Nemesis.

That’s what he’s going to bring to Star Wars. Special effects and character assassination.

As far as Rebels…I’ll give it a chance. I also thought Clone Wars was just OK for the first couple of seasons, but the last 3 seasons were very good. As Rebels gets going I hope it becomes a show that really fits into the mood of A New Hope.
