I think the price hike was planned, to coincide with the upcoming release of rebels. Give us a little time to adjust to the price increase before the release of the series. I do think that Disney, and Hasbro are banking on rebels being a huge success.

We’re going to be staring at these same figures for a long, long time. It’s peg jam time.

Doesn’t hurt me, I don’t collect Saga Legends or the 3 3/4″ Black Series. They just clog the pegs at all of my local retailers so it will be inevitable that Target will have to do red tag price markdowns to move them in the coming months. I’m putting all of my collecting money to high-end collectibles now anyway. My days of collecting Hasbro stuff ended with The Vintage Collection.

This is completely absurd. Target doesn’t carry much Star Wars anyway, but this completely steps on the throat of an already deceased toy line.

I’ve seen $6.49 recently, that this is really getting steep for what you get.
I’m assuming with the Rebels 5POA figures going to be falling under the “Legends” banner, there’s the feeling at Target that a price hike can be justified… or Hasbro just raised what they are charging so Target is following suit.
