I remember the early days back in 1978 when the first 12 back STAR WARS hit stores right after the Early Bird Certificate thing whind down and i went to Child’s world they were in a makeshift box and said “STAR WARS figures by Kenner— they were $3.99 each at this Store $2.89 in others— I begged my Mother to get me LUKE, LEIA, HAN, CHEWIE, R2 and 3PO but back then they were a lot of money— i jump up and down til she only got me 2 and that was LUKE & LEIA— i was 14 back then—

I was doing chores all over the house and even mowing lawns and helping people with their groceries to earn the money to get these figures— over time i got them all. even the mail aways—

Those were the days— I’m 50 now and i still have my Original 12 Inch figures with all accessories

What ever happen to collecting figures for their authenticity of that character— NOT for what it does but for what it is— way Better then the Vader Hasbro’s done— it talks, it breathes and it makes Light Saber sounds FX— I have all 4 figures— minus the Chewie and now the BOBA FETT— I’m hoping that Disney Makes a PRINCESS LEIA, ARTOO DETOO (R2-D2), SEE-THREEPIO (C-3PO) and Maybe a LANDO CALRISSIAN— Just keep making these figures DISNEY— you can have my $29.95 because these figures are Absolutely GREAT!!!

In reply to Jub Goobles. I was thinking something different.

In reply to Star Voyager. Dan is right. The chest plate actually has multiple buttons. If you just generally push the whole chest plate, you only ever get the one button. But if you pinpoint the upper right button specifically, lo and behold, it's the breathing sound.

In reply to Star Voyager. If you check again there is an additional button on the upper right of his chest plate that does the breathing sounds. There are videos on youtube of this as well.

In reply to Jub Goobles. I have to agree with Jub Goobles, it doesn’t make the breathing sound. But Jub, it’s not a doll it’s an action figure.

In reply to DanSolo. The chest plate button runs the movie lines. The arm button runs the lightsaber. Neither include the breathing sound. Hasbro's similarly sized Anakin-to-Vader doll does the breathing, I think.

In reply to Jub Goobles. There is a seperate button that does the breathing sound effect. I'm pretty sure it's on the chest plate also.
