To totally confuse things, the mail-away promotion for those VTSC figures were coins, making them feel even more at home erroneously in the TAC line! 🙂

Yup. They didn’t bother changing the name to reflect the other, new 2007 packaging lines and stuck with the 2006 logos and name for the Vintage-style clamshell figures.

Yes, absolutely. There were SUPPOSED to received TAC artwork, but that was scrapped. Many products in TSC/TAC ran concurrently. Even the last couple of wave of TSC were being found with wave 1 of 30 (77-07) figures.

I bow before the totality of your total geekdom. Well done, sir. At least tell me that the figures in question came out concurrently with TAC.

To be a total geek, they were actually the second wave of VTSC. They didn’t have a TAC logo on them.

That’s right – TAC had a subset of Vintage figures. I occasionally forget about it. After the OTC and Saga II sublines, the VTAC sort gets confused in my mind with the Vintage collection proper.
I’m kind of glad to be getting a new Endor Poncho Leia. As far as articulation goes, she is way down on my list of figures that need the SA upgrade. For me, the figure from the ’90’s sits on her speeder bike well enough, and the VTAC one’s articulation works for other scenes/poses. But I’m short on total Endor Poncho Leias, so I will be buying that figure.
