That was an impressive peice of writing! I’m not elitist, you can try to chase me away with the rising tide of change and how you think things should be made In the name of profits. I’m not some business major or apparently able to write rebuttes as well as you, I got to get back to my day job because I don’t get paid to argue with passionate fans!
Once again sorry you don’t see my point view, it is a free country and I happen to like Hasbro, remember I collected for all these years, and been discussing it for some time also. this topic is about making 4 POA chucks of plastic!

Your entire previous post consisted of you whining that Hasbro should stop making Marvel and ignore their other IPs and only put out Star Wars product. Saying that Marvel will never be popular or a big thing, lol! That was one of the most self-entitled things on the internet. Just because you don’t like it, it must be doing terribly…that is downright delusional. You’re attitude that “I’ve been collecting the longest, so you should make only what I want,” is, also, ridiculously selfish.

Guess what? You ALREADY have your Collectors’ line of figures, in 2 different scale formats. The 6″ line is almost 75% brand new unique sculpts for each wave. The 3.75″ line is getting up there with unique sculpts, too. Those new sculpts really eat into the budget of just how many figures they can make each year. Star Wars CANNOT rely on the same reuse strategy that Marvel Legends, MOTUC, DCUC, and others use. That’s why your 6″ waves consist of 1 or 2 less figures each wave. Also taking into account rising labour costs in China. Labour costs have skyrocketed in the last half decade. Making an articulated 3.75″ figure now costs nearly the same as just making a 6″ figure. And, if Hasbro wants to cut the labour costs they will need to buy new factories and move production to Vietnam, like other companies are…but, that will be a big delay and loss of profit.

So, guess how Hasbro cuts their costs and makes sure they have the budget for those SEPARATE COLLECTORS’ LINES…they make their product for CHILDREN much cheaper. The other lines are for CHILDREN, and regardless of what collectors like to tell themselves children don’t care about all the articulation. Parents don’t like spending collector prices on their children either. The 3.75″ and 6″ lines with 5poa are NOT MEANT FOR YOU. They are entirely SEPARATE from the existing collectors’ lines. They aren’t in competition, and they aren’t phasing anything out. It’s silly and selfish of you to demand that the children’s line be engineered like a collector line, when you ALREADY have a collector line. If you are disappointed in Hasbro, feel free to go buy Figuarts, Figma, Revoltech, or one of the other high quality collector lines.

And, if you think I work for Hasbro and there is some conspiracy to get rid of collectors….lol. Do you believe in bigfoot and ufo conspiracies, too? No, I’m just another collector. I just don’t like elitist, self-entitled people who decide every decision a company makes is an affront to the world.

And before we argue any further I you go home with hurt feeling I iust want to let you know that’s not my intention, I’m sure the good people at Hasbro are doing a fantastic job at making marvel products, if that’s what your all tore up about then I apologize, but don’t mistake my passion, which is (Star Wars) and my constructive criticisms as a sense of entitlement, all I’m saying is the people who have been collecting for as long as I have understand that these changes are unnecessary , don’t fix what’s not broken! And if there’s a reason Hasbro needs to make 6 inch figures and “lack of action” 3.75 figures instead of all the beautifully put together toys from just three years past that have brought in so much profit over the last 20 years then ok just tell me why we have to get items like this I the above photos over toys we really want.

You mean make toys that people WANT! This has nothing to do with being entitled to anything. Several decades of all the nice stuff that you guys put out, oops! (I mean Hasbro put out) for Star Wars and then nothing, this is the real issue here. I wouldn’t presume to say I’m entitled even though I have spent a fortune on all this product just like everyone else, we care after all and start to lose our minds when we see these “wastes of plastic” that is what the topic is about in the first place. 4 POA marvel and the possibility that they turn Star Wars into this.

All these cracked ideas it appears as though they have forgotten the past and how successful it was.
If I feel entitled to anything it’s a “real explanation of these changes” Hasbro is making? The things they don’t want to talk about that’s what I would like to know.
I understand other things need to be made and you can exclaim I’m wrong all day, I have ten other people that say the same thing you do. I have been collecting since 78, I evaluate it as I see it unfold… So far it’s just a bunch of excuses to give us old toys at inflated prices and whenever new items come out its something like the above photos.

No one is trying to force you to buy both. You said if it’s not ponies, joes, or transformers that they don’t treat it seriously. I was pointing out you’re wrong. We’re getting tons of Marvel, and we are getting two lines of the Black Series for Star Wars. Hasbro is giving attention to ALL of their lines, sorry they aren’t ignoring it all for Star Wars.

Nice to see you are pretty self-entitled, though. Trying to demand that Hasbro only makes toys for you, LOL. How DARE Hasbro make toys for one of the largest and most successful franchises in history! Those darn Marvel fans are taking away all your possible toys. I’m pretty sure Marvel is making Hasbro more money at the moment. Scaling back all the different lines and trimming the budget of figures down kinda points to Star Wars being responsible for some losses.

Maybe when episode VII comes out it will give them the push to get out more product. But, they’re going to need to focus on the modern stuff, too. I have a feeling you won’t be happy with that, too much.

Is this a marvel conversation? No it’s not , didn’t here about them but what I’m seeing in stores looks like a lot of rehash from years previous!
This marvel thing is one of the problems, why we are not getting Star Wars right now has zero to do with shipping problems, they know that if they released Star Wars during “marvel time” that people would prefer buying Star Wars over what is “finger quotes” marginalized as what consumers are supposed to buy right now!
I’m not trying to argue with you really I’m not all I’m really trying to say is marvel has there fans, Star Wars certainly has there own fan you can’t just force us to buy both. Just because Disney owns marvel doesn’t mean consumers want to buy the toys!

We’re getting 3-4 waves of Avengers Legends this year. Wave one already hit retail. Lots of great comic figures, and some obscure choices. Cap, Iron Man and Hulk are in wave 2. Cap and Iron Man are repaints, but that’s because that’s their costumes. Hulk is about 75% all new sculpt, only reusing part of the arms and the lower legs after the knee. We’re getting more movie figures in waves 3 and 4.

We’re, also, getting a ton of other Legends waves and box sets this year. So, we are far from getting “nothing.” This is the largest year for Marvel Legends releases, yet.

Parents don’t want to spend $20+ for a single figure for 7 year old Billy. That’s where these come in. These were NEVER meant for adults.

Really…so what are the roughly 60 Marvel Legends releases this year? Trying to get rid of collectors by having the largest year of Marvel Legends releases yet…sure.

No, Hasbro is making cheap alternatives for CHILDREN. These aren’t a threat to Legends. As a matter of fact, Hasbro is putting out more Marvel Legends Collector figures this year, than ever before. We’re getting 3-4 waves of Avengers, Spider-Man wave, Antman wave, another wave of Guardians of the Galaxy and a Guardians comic box set, Agents of SHIELD 3 pack, a Mystic set for SDCC, and possibly even more still.

Parents don’t want to spend $20+ for a single figure for 7 year old Billy. That’s where these come in. These were NEVER meant for adults.
