In reply to souldeserter. I've certainly noticed that among Hasbro's lines of late. I recall there being a directive from the top of Hasbro to reduce the number of SKUs across all its brands. Fewer items translate to fewer characters being realized. Rather than doing a unique set of characters for 6", another set of characters for collector 3.75", a different group for 5POA SL and yet another for 12" Heroes, I can see how drawing just the big names or popular characters can result in a lot of the same choices. That or they are saving on their budget by sculpting a character once and somehow adjusting the scale bigger or smaller to fill each line.

Re: your update, we seem to be getting the same characters spread across all toy lines lately (Boussh, concept Boba Fett, Han & Luke STs, Bossk & IG-88), as if by some Disney edict. When I saw Funko was coming out with Bib Fortuna, Figrin D’an, and the farmboy Luke, it gave me hope that they will show up in 6″ TBS sooner rather than later. Also hoping the 5POA Jawas and Skiff Lando bode well for 6″ TBS equivalents, but I imagine there are only potentially 4-8 more Lucas-era figures (2 waves) aside from those already announced on the way before The Force Awakens stuff changes the landscape.

I’ve been looking forward to Palpatine, but I’m just not feelin it after these photos. The Solo/Tauntaun look better than I’ve seen in previous photos, so there is hope.
I just wish they’d used a plastic hood like some of the 3.75 Palpatine figures in the VC line.

Love the Hoth set. I’ve been very selective with this 6″ line, now it’s time to get a few. Han and the Tauntaun are an easy sell for me. I think they turned out great.
Palpatine too. I’m very happy there are soft goods here. The hood can be futtzed with, no biggie. Overall I’m pleased with His Highness and look forward to getting him.

Luke in Disguise, I’ll most likely get too. As long as a decent sample comes my way. re: supersized helmet.

Clone trooper fans will get zero competition from me ; )

I think maybe the Emperor’s hood could be fixed with a bit of fiddling. Overall these look great. I left the line after the shaky Han/Kenobi/Leia final product but took a chance on the Vader/Chewie/Speeder bike when they were cheap over christmas and they really impressed me and re-sparked my enthusiasm. Most looking forward to the Han/Tauntaun, my fave beastie along with the dewback which I’d love to see in 6 inch scale

Han/Taun Taun – looks good, I’m just not sure if I want it or not. I’d be much more interested in 3.75″ scale new Wampa and Probe Droid

Palpatine – other than the soft goods, looks nice, they really did not make the hood look right at all, this is disappointing, not sure if I will purchase or not

Luke – surprised at how good the removable helmet looks

Clone – looks great, but I’m not buying prequel stuff in this line
