The material doesn’t encircle his neck like in the press release photo—only the shiny fabric chain circles around in front.

Looking at the press release photo shows that the head is sitting ajar on top of Vader’s shoulders and not actually in the correct position—perhaps glued on with one of Hasbro’s infamous glue guns.

I wonder if this head DOES detach. Maybe magnetically. The original fabric cape design may have given too much resistance to allow the head to stay attached; assuming it is attached using magnets and not a peg of some sort.

I agree. I was really keeping my fingers crossed for an improvement on this Vader. The face on the prototype looked too doll like.

The Stormtrooper even appears to have properly painted lenses and a straight brow stripe. Things are lookin’ up.
