I hear ya. While I can certainly appreciate the great sculpting work, fine detailing and nice paint, I just can’t get past the unsightly joints either. I can understand why some like these, they sure are pose-able, but I prefer a cleaner aesthetic to “ultimate pose-ability”. We should be thankful there are options for both camps.

Yeah, that S.H. Figurarts (did I get the name right, not sure) diorama looks sweet. I would like to get their Vader too—just for comparison sake. I certainly won’t be pursuing all their figures though. Especially now that Hasbro appears to be shipping stuff and will probably continue a rapid pace from here on out.

Yeah those shoulder joints are worse than Hasbro’s, I’d have to agree. But I like the proportions of these Revo figures way more than Hasbro’s—which are on the thicker side.

The knee joints on this Revoltech Boba Fett blow Hasbro out of the water though when it comes to 6″ figures.

And the elbow-joints… they are visible from every angle and since they are so thin and nothing hides them, they are even more visible in the grey color. If it weren´t for the ´articulated` pouches on the waist you´d also see the hip joints unflatteringly clearer. It always seems a hit or a miss with Revoltech: the C-3PO is such a great figure from them, as well as the Stormtrooper (where the black color hides the joints pretty good), but the Vader apart from the head sculpt is a terrible monstrosity with that articulated cape. The latter and the Boba would really benefit from a soft goods cape to hide some of those all too thin joints…

thats right they are unsightly you cant see them as much as hasbo have you actually had a japanese figure for me being in australia the are only $10 more that Hasbro wich cost $40 here 🙁
though the best so far is the bandia stromtrooper model kit and they are half the price of hasbro

I’m sorry i just don’t like them, the joints are hideous and unsightly. Least Hasbro aesthetic is a lot better on their versions. Plus i don’t see why the market needs to 6 inch lines, one being way too expensive. The only thing i want from these Japanese figures is the sweet Death Star display.
