Meh.
Throughout my whole childhood, I only knew of star wars recorded off of HBO on to some shabby VHS tapes…ESB wasnt even recorded properly and started a little past the beginning. Until I watched the special edition in the 90s, I had absolutely no idea why ESB started with luke hanging from the ceiling in an ice cave about to be attacked by something. I dont give a crap about some FOX logo.

A small part of me just died. A small teeny tiny insignificant measly part but still a part.

That fanfare got me more jazzed up than the original overture. Sad to see it go away. At least it’s on my blu-ray collection, along with the very cool THX sound, which is now stuck at the end for some reason.

This is sad. Also the way it will be on the new movies, which is something I hadn’t thought of.

In reply to John C Hill. Fox owns distribution rights forever for A New Hope only.

Farewell, Fox Fanfare. You were enjoyed by my generation and many others.

In reply to John C Hill. Fox owns distribution for that film outright.
