I would go so far as to say the majority should be recognizable. I want to see new aliens but if they’re all new, what makes it the Star Wars universe apart from Han and chewie?

I like the shot of the pirates too but it is strange that there isn’t one recognizable Star Wars alien in that image. In fact, we’ve seen nothing but new aliens in the TFA material we’ve seen so far. I understand the desire and need to great new aliens but it is important to include iconic species like Rodians and Weequays to make it seem like the same universe we’ve grown to love over the past 30 plus years.

I especially love the group shot of the pirates but there is one thing missing from that pic…not one recognizable alien from the Star Wars franchise. A rather odd move seeing that Rodians, Weequay and such are so iconic.
