In reply to <a href="https://yakfaceforums.com/main/2015/05/12/black-series-wave-8-preorder-at-entertainment-earth/#comment-16405">Jayson Krebsbach</a>.

I appreciate the positive attitude more than I can say, but Target and Walmart have essentially been barren since Christmas. Couldn't they at least re-order wave 5 or 6? It's not as though they were sitting on a ton of unsold product. My experience tells me that new product is typically held up by trying to move through old product first. But if the earlier waves were shipped so extremely light to various retailers how does Hasbro expect to move through to the next waves? In other words, they need to get the product out there in order to move through it!

It is just so very odd what has been happening. It's as if Target and Walmart and to a lesser degree Toys R Us, are content to order just one case for each of their stores (if that!) and then just sit with empty pegs for months until the next wave is available. And yet from what I thought I knew of the industry, retailers were not really able to order specific waves. They would just order the "assortment" and would get whatever wave Hasbro sent.

So is it the retailers not ordering or Hasbro not shipping?

I think Hasbro is fixing store stock to push their Marvel Legends line, to be honest. Plenty of other 6 " hasbro products out there, they can't blame it on distribution forever, seems pretty obvious to me.

It's an understandable feeling but I have no doubt that they will hit retail. Stores haven't been able to order anything new either that's why the shelves of been empty for so long. Now that these waves of preorders have opened up again, I suspect retail will look a lot better in the near future.
