The Jabba is a very nice touch but again NO base, no salacious Crump, no Smoke Bomb Bowl and Pipe with small froggy treats but the Rancor is a Bonus, but the Threepio is a terrible figure and i don’t understand why Hasbro is continuously making this crap figure— I always love this Leia especially when she came with another set of folding legs— but for $130.00 for this batch of kit-bash figures and a non complete Jabba— I’ll Pass!!!

This would be a really lousy SDCC exclusive. As a store exclusive, it’s fine for people to pick up locally or order online easily. It’s one of those sets that becomes an instant collection for a kid to play with. But it’s huge and heavy-looking for selling at the booth at a con and having attendees drag around all day. And so little of it is new, and all of it depicts such well-tread territory. They’d do better at SDCC with a genuinely new and highly sought-after, never produced single-carded figure. Has the Disney buy finally put an end to the Tonnika sister taboo? Could we just finally have Sebulba’s Twilek twins, or even just plain old Kitster? I’d be way happier to have the vintage Imperial Dignitary finally redone on a TVC card (and I’d settle if they insisted on a black series card instead). With so little 3.75″ love in SDCC exclusives from Hasbro the last few years, this would just be an albatross around attendees’ necks.

With any luck, perhaps this is one of those items sold at the EE booth, in partnership with TRU and it can just be ignored at the con and picked up in-store at TRU for those who really want it.

How is this Rancor? The only one I have is from the mid 90s (I believe) and doesn’t stand up on his own.
