If they follow anything about the old EU, Mon Destra could be a Mon Calamari planet or ship name.

I’m not an expert on intellectual property law, but these are both international class 041. That class is specifically for educational or entertainment services. Generally this class is used for titles of movies, TV shows, video games, or companies that produce these things. If you go search for any of the “known” TFA characters, you’ll see lots of different registrations, but none in class 041. Class 028, for example, is the one that covers action figures.

So unless more registrations pop up under these names there’s no reason at all to think that these are characters, unless we think they might get their own spin-off media.
