My guess is that all of the stock was released and went into TRU stores at the end of last week and also this week coming. If it is only going to be one box of figures per store, then it will be pure luck finding one. The best thing to do would be hit your local TRU stores early morning and find out whether they have received the figures yet or are still waiting. If they have received them already and sold out, then I guess you can cross that store off of the list and go to the next nearest location, as the cashier in my store said that they would not be getting any replen of this line. It was completely by chance that I went into my local TRU and managed to find one, and it was only because of reading this post that I was even out looking for it, otherwise I would of missed out completely. I don’t know how many figures are packed per box? I got mine on Saturday around 3pm and they had 4 left on the rack. The cashier said that another collector was in first thing when the store opened and looking for the same figure and that she had put one aside for her husband who was also a fan, so I’m guessing that there must be 6-8 per box?

If they’re only getting one box each that’s annoying for me as someone at TRS said they got them from TRU Liverpool and there was none left afterwards. So i don’t have a chance!

Don’t the fans want to see something familiar? If everything was completely unique with no reference to any of the designs that had come before, would it even look like Star Wars?

I’m pretty sure all the concept work Ralph McQuarrie did for Star Wars is the property of Lucasfilm, now Disney. If they own it they can use it how they deem appropriate. Did you protest when Filoni “stole” McQuarrie’s work to use in The Clone Wars? I for one was excited to see those previously unused designs finally be realized onscreen.

I liked the new Star Trek movies, i liked Super 8 and i liked Lost the TV series. That is just your personal view, if you look at his work the general consensus based on the general public and success he seems to be doing pretty well. I like many think he is good at his art.

That 52 of 167 might just be the store’s total incoming shipment of everything, not just the Snowtrooper case. In other words, they could be receiving 167 cartons of various product, one of which is the Snowtrooper case.

180 total pieces does seem very small, but I wouldn’t be entirely surprised, either.

Well movie of his I’ve seen I thought were good and what I’ve seen of TFA looks good so far and I’ll judge it when I seen it rather than before. As for the concept art he and Filoni are fans so it would be natural to use existing concepts and is probably a tribute to McQuarrie and the other artists, one if he was here now I think he’s appreciate and wouldn’t see as stealing. Plus Disney own them so not stealing. I like that they’ve used concept art. As for Abrams being a talentless hack, I’d say you try making a sucessful movie first before judging his work.
