From what I have seen, the armor up series is starting to peg warm while the single carded figures continue to sell out. The value makes no sense. A ton of extra packaging and a change of clothes is not worth an extra $5.

I have mixed feelings about this line. As a kid I would have loved the armor accessories. A lot of imaginative play value, kinda like M.A.S.K. but Star Wars, etc. Although Hasbro is obviously taking some liberty here, they have stayed true to the aesthetics and circumstances of the characters that they are accessorizing. Chewie's armor looks like something from Kashyyyk, Luke's looks like something from the deleted scenes, etc. On the other hand, as an adult collector, on a budget and being somewhat variant-obsessive, it's daunting to collect what would otherwise be simple, affordable figures, but are priced exorbitantly because of deluxe-yet-disposable packaging (remember Habro's age-old claim that their packaging is not intended as a collectible?) and a couple of non-canon accessories that I'll have to hock on eBay to help afford the figure itself.

"It looks like they’ve upped the value a bit by including two sets of snap on armor."

On the contrary...
On the UK TRU site, regular Armour figures are £10.99, while these new sets are £14.99.
Hardly a deal for one extra (ridiculous looking) one piece armour accessory.
So in the states, are these going to be 19.99? INSANE.

Nice! Phasma's the same it seems except for the beige boots to match her armor up but Poe has no helmet. They keep trying to keep them a tad different. So if you buy this armor up Poe set you'll still need the X-Wing for the helmet. Lolz. I kinda like it. So many customizing possibilities with the new line straight out of the gate! Now if you get an extra Poe from both sets you can make Poe X-Wing pilot with the blue removable helmet for the blue X-Wing. Because the blue X-Wing figure doesn't have his pilot jumpsuit and he also has the basic head with non-removable helmet. I love the accesories. Now we know we'll be getting SA also they can be used with them too.
