But in all seriousness, this is not a PC issue. It has to do with the fact that a couple of pervy Star Wars fans have made Leia’s degradation at the hands of Jabba the Hut a fetish. The film is fine, the fanboy obsession is wrong.

This has nothing to do with liberalism and your comment is incredibly ignorant. Women are objectified everyday in a way that men can never understand, so yes putting a woman in a metal bikini and objectifying her is far worse. It breeds into a larger sociological problem where women are judged on how “hot” they are.

I’m no PC Principle (love the South Park reference above!), but conservative or liberal this is a major problem that our daughters, sisters, and mothers face. Star Wars should stand as an example of empowerment, not a creepy fetish for nerds.
