I’ve heard the “Death Trooper” rumor also, but i think this filing for “Shadow Trooper” trump’s that now. It may have been accurate for shooting and on the call sheet’s for the production, but If they were going to be called “Death Trooper’s” in the Movie, they would of filed for that name instead, or both names. Think they will call them “Death Troopers” if they don’t own the name? I’ll file for the name and they can buy it off me if someone elso don’t already own it.

Yeah the ones shown in Rogue One are not Shadow Troopers, they are called “Death Troopers.”

The black helmet you’re probably referring to will be seen on the trade dress for upcoming Star Wars branding. It’s not called a “Shadow Trooper,” though, unless they’re changing the name. Wouldn’t be the first time a change was made in Star Wars.
