Neat idea but this looks more like a Galoob Micro Machines type of playset and nothing is really in scale for the 3 3/4″ figures. I was tempted to get it but the scale issues kept me from caving in.

In reply to JsironStories. Which shows that Hasbro continues to make the wrong decision time after time. The audience for a large scale TIE that can really only be displayed since it has no other family in this series to offer much play value is very limited. Yet the fans have been asking for a large Death Star Playset that would take up less shelf space and offer hours of display and play value for anyone that collects the 3 3/4 scale figures.

In reply to heybert17. One wonders if the 6 inch tie has done more ill than good on that front. Unlike the BMF and AT-ATs, I rarely saw any of the ties sell. Considering how scared Hasbro is to try certain things, coupled with what I just assume had to be disappointing sales numbers for the tie... my money is on it being a very long time before they feel comfortable trying anything big again, regardless of scale.

If they can get the 6″ scale TIE in stores taking up a ton of space each, they could do a decent Death Star set for 120-150.00 for about half the shelf space.

Still amazed that a true Death Star toy has not been made for the 3.75 line (Excluding Kenner).
It doesn’t have to be insanely large, just two halves of a sphere that feature the key moments, Trash Compacter, Throne Room, Power Generator, jail, etc.
I know it was looked into years ago, but the farthest it went was a foam board model that was spotted in a window from street level of the Hasbro offices.
