In reply to Bombadgungan. I don't believe it was. I like astromechs so I'm pretty good at spotting them when they pop up. ;)

Disney seems to be having a trend with Astromechs and having them themed around events or holidays. So this May the Fourth Astromech seems very likely and I hope to pick it up for my collection. We are not getting the best sculpts but I am happy with Disney supplying us with very different astromechs.

Do we know if this droid appeared in The Force Awakens? If not, do we know the source or is it just a made up droid like the majority of the Disney Parks BADs?

In reply to souldeserter. Is this the black astromech that was being speculated to come with the new TBS 3.75" wave?

It’s a Disney droid, that’s for sure: B-A-D sculpt, sloppy paint app, no wires on the feet… So the theory being a Parks’ exclusive is consistent 🙂

Seems legit. I was just wondering about this droid this morning, seeing as the Walmart exclusives are beginning to show up and it’s nowhere to be found in the wave.
