You could say that if they hadn’t proven in the past that they can churn out figures in a big release like they did for each of the prequel movies. There were what, 30 different figures and 6-8 vehicles right out of the gates for the phantom menace? It just feels like they’ve missed the mark with TFA and Rebels.

That would be a nightmare of pegwarmers! Are you fondly remembering only the best of the best, the biggest hits? There were so many figures, even good figures that sat unsold for months on end. There would have to be a decent size production run of each figure they reissue in order to make it worth their while and keep costs in check.

Has something happened in the past week to lead you to believe that manufacturing/distribution costs have suddenly dropped by 30%? Don’t hold your breath on a return to $10.

I’d love a set like that: Gailid, Velken Tezeri, Vedain, Yotts Oren. More unmade Jabba’s Palace goons or even unmade Cantina denizens.

I agree with you on the assortment. The movie droids are the ones I’m most interested in, while the TCW ones are merely “OK”. I just wish there could have been more unrealized droids from the OT or PT. Even remakes of older droids would have suited me fine. I do enjoy the astromechs and will be buying at least one of this set, but human or alien figures that we still need or need remakes of would have been considerably more exciting. I too felt the price was a bit on the high side, yet the reality is they are only 50 cents more than what we would pay if we were to buy these individually at current retail prices.

Did Walmart publish that? I hadn’t heard. By the reports on fan sites, it is either feast or famine with this line. My area and others have had empty pegs on all but the rare occasion, while other areas seem to be swimming in a sea of pegwarmers. I suppose “success” could mean they met their modest sales projections.
