Hoping for death troopers my favorite. It would make me smile

The classic Stormtrooper they’re releasing looks like the best helmet sculpt they’ve come out with yet for 5POA or SA.

I wonder what could be in store for Star Wars in a few years? Would it really be a disaster if another company, like Mattel, ran the show? Hasbro has proven to really be inept for the past several years now as compared to what they once were for this brand. And they are unifying their in-house boy brands – Transformers, GI JOE, MASK, etc… so while I’m not expecting there to be a change in ownership, I wouldn’t be that shocked… or even too disappointed. This is not a fun hobby for me anymore given Hasbro’s recent direction. I am spending more money on 3rd party lines now than on Hasbro product. They really need to right this ship.

haven’t heard of reissues for those 2 in particular. I wouldn’t doubt they’ll show up at so discount chain in the future though as the backlog of product makes its way through distribution.

I agree I’d rather have ample supply of limited product than ample product but limited or no supply.

Yeah, Kanan is stormtrooper gear might be a hard sell. By the time he’s out, it’ll be six months or more since Kanan transitioned to blind-Jedi mode.

So far, we don’t have a release date for the Rebels figures shown at SDCC:

Fen Rau, Thrawn, Darth Maul/ Seventh Sister two pack or the other Rogue One Rebels:

Baze Malbus,Bistan (Warwick Davis), Saw Gerrera and Bodhi Rook. Plus there’s the Finn and Phasma apparent two pack also seen at SDCC. (They were on the same display base and Finn had a Lightsaber with him).

Maybe these will be Wave 3 in December/ January.

Both those Trooper designs are pretty sweet. I like the classic Stormtrooper figure too.

The fact that it takes 18 months to design figures and Episode VIII originally having a May 2017 release date has to affect things. If Hasbro was expecting to launch VIII figures early next year, one can see why they would make a smaller line for RO. It’s also the first standalone film and the characters are unknown. Imperial troopers and Vader, plus the new droid, are guaranteed sellers but the rest of the cast could do poorly if people don’t like them or if the film is lousy.

Yup. With RO, I’d be happy getting the main Rebels, new Imperial troopers, Krennic and Vader. An ERG would be nice too, but if we only got 29 basic figures for TFA, I don’t see them making more for this film. I would like a U-Wing. 🙂
