I saw Yoda’s (very cool), and hadn’t heard they were doing the sail barge. Cool.

Titaniums are still interesting to me since I didn’t collect the older line. However, I do wish there was a bit more freshness and turnover and less carry-forwards from wave to wave.

P.S. Have you seen the new HW Khetanna and Yoda’s Starfighter?

I’ve been collecting both lines up to this point, and I really enjoy the variety of Mattel’s offerings. Hasbro’s Titanium line used to rock. It’s really gotten stale lately though.

Well now that I’ve seen the Rogue One offerings, I have to say Mattel is blowing Hasbro out of the water with their Starships offerings vs. Titanium. Hasbro has only given us 3 new ships for Rogue One, while the Hot Wheels line has more including Rebels A-Wing, Tantive IV and ROTJ Imperial Shuttle. Just comparing the U-Wings and TIE Strikers, the HW are considerably larger and heftier than the Titaniums. Did I choose to collect the wrong line?

I hope someone does the AT-ST and AT-ACT soon. 🙂

The “value” Falcon is being repacked in this Rogue One wave 1. However, I did not see any of these on Rogue Friday, so I’m not sure who will be carrying them.

I know it’s a cheap toy. I just wanted a TFA-specific Falcon bigger than the die-casts stuff and there was no wayi was going to pay $140 for the nerf one. I was hoping to find the nerf Falcon on clearance but it’s still full price in my area.

For what it’s worth I found the Falcon on Amazon for an okay price. Perhaps these will find their way there. It was kind of lame though. Feels cheap.

New Hasbro wants money. Money money money.

Hasbro tells us there’s no money for articulation or paint, no budget or market for vehicles like we used to get, it’s NERF or nothing, and hey by the way buy these 6″ figures that cost twice as much but cents more for us to make.

Hasbro then gives us a mobile app, tiny vehicles, even tinier vehicles, and a $300 vibrating boondoggle.

Okay. Hey Hasbro, I think you actually had the money for things that mattered. Just sayin.

I felt the Hot Wheels starships were fine, but I could go either way between them and Titaniums. The Hot Wheels seem ever so slightly larger and also a bit heftier, but I didn’t find the detail to be as great as with Titaniums. The deco on the HW Ghost and Slave I for example. The difference in retails and breadth of models is a negligible. The deciding factor for me was the cannons on the HWs being chunkier, while the Titanium cannons are a bit finer and the packaging presentation is more adult collector oriented. I chose to go with the Titanium line.
