Take the Sphero BB-8 for example. It’s a fraction of the size of the AT-ACT but it’s half the price, with less moving parts, playability, and accessories. I don’t disagree that the AT-ACT is overpriced but it’s hardly a piece of junk. If we had the same type of technology back in the 80s when The Empire Strikes Back came out, our eight-year-old selves would’ve been going nuts our eight-year-old selves would’ve been .

For $300, I think this is a joke. The $200 range is more reasonable. I’d rather them have stripped out the electronics though and made the head/body about 10% bigger, legs about 25% taller and priced at $200 MSRP. I think you’d see a lot less complaining… and a better all around success for this thing.
