Just been to see it with my sister and her family. It was SW but it wasn’t sw. and it was brilliant. Loved the cameo of a certain two guys in Jedha. Was surprised at just how much Tarkin was in it, and loved that he was. Tarkins CG was good, Leia’s a lil off. All the new characters were great, shame that every single one bought it. Really likde Chirrut and Baze. Oh and the turbo tank as a prison transport was a nice nod, alone with the call for General Syndulla over the Yavin 4 base tannoy. And was that Twilek Cham Syndulla on Saw’s base? Vaders Palace on Mustafar and his action scence, wow! So much to talk about this movie. My niece loved K2-2SO as he made him laugh, my niece loved seeing Leia but wasn’t happy she was only at the end. My brother-in-law liked the end. That Hammerhead ship…

In reply to Rykrof_Enloe. I really liked it too. In fact we have the same ranking. For me, RO is about a tie with ROTS. The OT obviously ranks first. TFA after RO and ROTS with TPM and AOTC coming in last. I'll have to see it a few more times to decide if I like it more than ROTS. Too many important things happen in Sith, and the second half of the film is perfect. RO is good from beginning to end, so it's hard to say. It was definitely nice to walk out f the theater and not be disappointed. :-)

Big thumbs up from myself and everyone I went with, which ranged from 10 years old to 75 years old.
I don’t feel the need to rank SW movies so I won’t with this one either.
However, I do love the contrast of Rogue One, SW 4, 5, 6 and 7 with 1,2, and 3. The prequels may not be perfect, but they certainly show clearly how the galaxy was, as a whole, a decent, democratic and free existence, while R1 and 4-7 are dirty and repressed and a struggle thoughout life no matter where you are.

In reply to Darth_Raww. Don't hold your breath. Lucasfilm already stated that the opening scroll was for the main 9 saga movies...and would be redundant in the stand alones.
