Saw this a little over a week ago two put on shelf in front of me. Damaged/crushed packages and didn’t look different enough from the org. Wal-Mart one I found at a ROSS for $14 some years ago. Sure a better figure but its also a repack and only 1 driver.

Sure, you could kit bash a “kinda sorta” Rebel Commando. The question is, would Lucasfilm licensing ever approve it? Although there are bits and pieces of the RO commando uniforms that are evocative of the Endor commandos, there is very little if anything that is actually the same.

I meant cockpit. Sorry, my auto suggest had been going nuts lately. I guess what I was seeing as stripes are the rubber bands. Well, like you say it could be from any film with an AT-ST in it. I’ll just pretend it’s RO. 🙂

I was thinking either AT-AT or AT-ACT when I said that. And ‘regardless of scale’ means either 3.75″ *or* 6″.

You are correct about the AT-ST driver helmet in the visual guide. I was disappointed when I saw that, as I fully expected some variation on one of the new helmets that would have included a full facemask.

Re: the tank in the visual guide, Pablo was careful to note that there are treaded and hover versions of the same vehicle (I don’t have the book in front of me, but I think the two versions were the GAVr and the GAVw, or something like that), so the tank pilot we saw in the movie also pilots hovertanks. Therefore, the TRU-exclusive 6″ figure is still technically correctly named, and the LEGO toy can be considered an off-screen vehicle.

I wonder if the treaded tank was originally supposed to be a hovertank in the movie (hence the Hasbro and Lego toys) but was changed to a treaded tank for design, story or cost reasons.

What do you mean by bigger units? A TBS 6″ AT-ST? Or do you mean a bigger ship in TBS 3.75″, such as the AT-ACT, Krennic’s Shuttle or even U-Wing or X-Wing?

If you look at the Visual Guide book for Rogue One, the AT-ST page features the helmet for the driver for AT-ST and it is the same as the helmet from the ROTJ Drivers. So, from as certain point of view, this still could be a Rogue One vehicle.

Another fact from the book is that the “Hovertank” isn’t a hovertank at all. It is a tread-driven vehicle. So, all of the merchandise (Hasbro, LEGO) with the Hovertank descriptor is incorrect.
