You mean the drape hanging off his helmet? I can’t remember exactly what material that was… here is a full parts list though:

yeah no kidding. Google Dean Freytag, that was my ‘inspiration’ with my steel mill layout, and no I was never close.

Styrene is wonderful material, isn’t int? I just am not very good with it. I never understood how some people can be so talented!

wow that’s some detail 😉 I used to do a lot of model railroading, so I am familiar with styrene ( I still have a ton of it ) and a lot of things plastruct makes, but I never got that detailed with it. definitely gave me ideals 🙂

Thank you… “outside” area is from a sheet of insulation foam, with plastered newspaper shaped, plastered and caked in glue… then a mix of paint and glue, with sand sprinkled on… then repainted again.

Most of the buildings are thick card stock glued together, then I used wood glue and spread it out with a spackling tool to create texture… then several layers of painting and adding some greeblies here and there. Some of the greeblies can be found via eBay, just do a search for “Star Wars Custom Diorama” and there are some really good items that can be purchased. I also bought some screen for a window and cut it up for some of the debris.

Finally, the Imperial garrison building you see near the end is made from styrene, but I did not make it. I was able to purchase it years ago from an amazing customizer – Owen Driscoll.
