But Hasbro can’t do that because it would drive the price point up too much Too much tooling and Hasbro would make as much profit on it.
I’d pay $25 bucks a pop for a six inch figure that has several accessories, that I can recreate several scenes from the movie with, as opposed to $20 bucks for a figure that’s missing nearly every accessory that it’s 3.75″ counter part had.

Mine too. Like clones, there are many Jedi that I like more because the way they look. Kit Fisto is probably my favorite PT Jedi based on his look. Rex is my favorite clone character-wise, but there are other armor designs that I like more than his. Qui-Gon is definitely a favorite of mine. As for my exact favorite, it’s a toss up between Luke and Obi-Wan. I’ve loved the character of Luke Skywalker for as long as I can remember. Obi-Wan however is, IMO, the greatest Jedi ever. The scene in TCW when Maul executes Satine pretty much cemented that idea in my mind. If I was in Obi-Wan’s place I would’ve turned to the dark side and killed Maul and everyone else in the room out of rage. I felt such admiration for Obi-Wan when I first watched that episode. I already knew he was a great swordsman and tactician, but being able to resist such a strong call to darkness makes him even greater.

Yeah. It would be cool if there was actually a hole for Maul’s saber. Not trying to sound morbid, I just think t would be a neat scene to create. I’ve always thought battle damaged figures were cool. I loved getting the POTF2 Bespin Luke wremovable hand. Even the 2011 TCW Hunt for Grievous battle pack has a Rex figure with the blaster wound he sustained in that episode. I still wish the 6″ Bespin Luke had come with an alternate, battle damage head and removable right hand with a cauterized stump.

No!! I love Qui-Gon, he’s one of my favorite Jedi. 🙂

You know what; I bet S.H.Figuarts built the Captain Phasma figure based on Gwendoline Christie’s height and not the height of the character. The Captain Phasma character would included an extra 1.75″ for the helmet sitting on her head and an extra 2.25″ for the boot heels. At the 1/12 scale of the 6″ line that equals an extra 1/3″. Adding an extra 1/3 of an inch would then make it the perfect size.

Interesting. I didn’t know that. I actually still have that Qui-Gon. Do you know why they didn’t give him the battle damage? Too graphic?

With some effort, the TVC TPM Darth Maul can be spilt in two as well. He has a ball jointed waist. (I’d suggest heating it with hot water first to soften up the plastic.)
On another note, way back in 1999, Hasbro had plans to produce a Qui Gon Jinn figure with a lightsaber battle damage wound in his chest. (I remember seeing an image for it, but for the life of me, I can’t remember where.) The mold was used, but sans the battle damage. (Was released as the last Qui Gon Jinn in the TPM line. He had soft goods skirt and Jedi comlink.)

They actually made a Maul in POTJ that spilt in half to recreate his death. Today things are too PC, so I doubt that figure would see release 17 years after its debut. Btw, do you dislike Qui-Gon?
