There’s two things I like about these choices. First, they’re creative. I never would have thought of a jumbo dianoga, but it makes sense to me. I can understand some people being annoyed since it isn’t an actual figure, but I still think it’s a clever choice. Second, they could have repacked previously released jumbo figs or minibusts into “commemorative packaging,” maybe go with more iconic characters from ANH. Instead they went with something completely new. And one more thing: they offered something in both of their most popular lines instead of just one. Unfortunately, the company that produces the items I collect doesn’t do any of these things. So I guess GG really knows what I want as a fan.

You mean limited to no articulation items that invoke a sense of nostalgia? Some companies get burned to the ground for trying to do that sort of thing. 😉

But seriously, I’m surprised the reception on these has been so mixed.
