Agreed. I don’t think too many kids or collectors that currently buy the 3.75 and 6″ figures are going to abandon those to collect these dolls instead. I think it is just going to capture an audience that was under served.

I would expect them to be merchandised in the girls aisle with the dolls. Remember, these are aimed at girls and wouldn’t more girls find them in the toy aisle they typically go to? Consider Galactic Heroes. Those are not merchandised with the Star Wars toys in the boys aisle, they get their own spot in the preschool aisle.

The Rey is kind of cool, but the ones that have me debating whether I’ll pick one up are the Leias. Especially that Endor Poncho Leia with flocked Wicket. Jyn doesn’t look at all like the actress (not that any of these really do) and that Sabine is just hideous!

I thought as much. It was the6″ ones that I saw for $15. Stop and Shop always overcharges for toys. Back Becky grandmother passed away there was this grocery chain that we don’t have in our area. My mom would go there to buy stuff for my nana or stiff to cook at her house. Anyway, they had, without a doubt, the best toy section of any supermarket I’ve ever been in. It was basically the size of a department store toy department. On top of that they had a book section wth tons of paperback books, magazines ans comics. I always left that store happy. That was back before magazines cost almost as much as a hardcover book.
