its like that around here in New Bedford /Dartmouth. From here all the way down route 6 many of the same chains over and over. Warwick, RI is similar too

yeah its really annoying for people trying to buy anything “new”. The same WalMart since then keeps putting out wave 2 instead.

even with sales this week… TRU $12 black series (also 15% off clearance) or Walgreens $16 black series. None of this stuff moves. Just sits. While more of the same piles up… No matter the store or chain.

even a single Gamestop might have a case of one figure like the lando ( got mine on Wednesday) but that’s if you even catch that whiff as you pass by.

I found my first four POTJ figures at the NH location I mentioned back when they first came out. I still remember opening them in the car on the way home and reading the little booklets. I went to FF 2015 up there, but it was lame because they didn’t have enough stuff. There was a line the length of the front of TRU and they only got four cases of 5poa and possibly less 6″. At first people were being very slow and calm picking out figures because we all assumed they had more. When the manager announced that what was on the pegs was it, people started scrambling. My mom came with me despite it being hard for her(it’s a tradition for us) and she was guarding a shopping cart that I had my stuff in. Some guy tried to take the cart from her claiming that he thought it was more stock . This was right after the announcement that there was no more stock. But hey, try and steal from an elderly woman to get new figures? Why not. Sometimes SW collectors can be real DB’s.

I just made a similar comment above about an excellent location in NH that I used to go to a lot. I definitely miss going there looking for stuff. Having every possible store to find SW stuff all on one road is great, but only if there’s something to find. When I was younger I’d go up there with my mom. I’d find a bunch of figures, we’d have lunch and I’d open stuff in the car on the ride home. Good times that I definitely miss.

In reply to Brian Beck. Before distribution became a nightmare, I actually used to enjoy taking a ride up to NH to look for stuff. No sales tax plus there's a stretch of road with just about every major retail store plus Walgreens and even a comic shop all within about a mile of each other. They even still have a Kmart, which was important during the TVC days. It used to be one of my favorite places to go hunting, but now there's no point in driving there because nothing makes it to retail anymore. Still my preferred place for FF since stuff can actually be found that day and because of the lack of sales tax, but I really miss taking day trips up there.
