That is how my Walmarts work here. I can go to one and a figure is $18.82 and another has it for $5 on clearance.

Part of the problem is that all of the figures fall under the same DPCI as an assortment. So until the current stock sells down, shipments won’t be received.

Dude…child world at shoppers world in framingham…gosh the memories. Loved that store. Mass really only has target and Wallis now…except the two crappy tru in Dedham and Brockton…

As a kid, I remember buying my earliest figures from the NEX on the military base. This was really my only choice at the time and the selection was not always great. Back in the states I would also shop at Kmart, a drug store(?) called TG&Y and the department store Mervyn’s. I’m sure they were occasional visits to Sears and J.C. Penny as well. Man their Christmas catalogs sure were great! Later it was PlayCo, KB Toys and Toys R Us. We didn’t get Target in California till later, maybe mid-80’s. Walmarts didn’t come along till maybe the mid-90’s.

I haven’t found a new 5POA figure in so long that I have no idea what retailers are charging now. But I can confirm they are currently $7.47 at my local Walmart. Target I’m guessing is $7.99 and I think TRU is as well, unless they’re a buck more at $8.99. Kohl’s is always laughably overpriced, so I never shop there except for maybe end of season clearance.

You’ve always had Targets, right? We didn’t get them here in MA until the mid-late nineties. I remember having to have to get a couple of the earliest Target exclusives from Brian’s Toys. Now they’re everywhere. I very much prefer Target to Walmart. I had a blast shopping in Targets during the height of collecting. My favorite store of all time for toys is called Child World. Idk if you had them out there. They were also sometimes called Children’s Palace. As a kid that place was like toy heaven. I loved TRU a lot as a kid too. Before I realized that they overcharge for everything. I still go there, but not nearly as s often since Target and Walmart came to my area. We didn’t have Walmart either until about the same time as Targets started showing up.

Living here in prime Target country (Minnesota), stores here are known for having various prices for the same product depending on affluence of the area but the Target store is located in. A couple years ago during 3.75 Black Series line, some stores have them from $12.99 while others have them at $15.29.

Its not that I don’t believe you. I was just surprised that Target would sell them for that high a price. Usually they only cost more than $7.99 online. I have a bad feeling that if the TLJ really do have extra points of articulation tgey might cost more. Possibly $9.99.
